With the GOP Defection; Is it time for the "Freedom Party" to emerge?
Self ^ | 10/11/16 | Self

With the recent defection of GOP leadership from supporting the Republican nominee it may signal it's time for the "Freedom Party", as it has been referred to, to emerge. It may mean different things to different people but my hope is it would bring reasonable people who believe in the US Constitution as it is written from all sides to a common banner to unite under.

What say you?

It’s been on my mind lately.

If Trump loses, I think it becomes a necessity if we want to save what’s left.

I hate to be a downer, but it is over if Trump loses in Nov.

Not kidding. She will overwhelm us with voting refugees, shut down the 2A (in some way. I don’t mean a repeal, but there are ways around outright repeal), and she will figure out a way to shut down our websites and talk radio.

I’m all in, if Hillary wins.

While we have had two major parties almost all of our history, the two major parties have not always been today’s Democrat and Republican parties.

The Whig party dissolved in the 1850s, and the Republicans emerged at that time as the 2nd major party. Why couldn’t this happen again?, if the Republican party has become useless as an opposition force to the liberals , and won’t use Congressional majorities to fight Democrat presidents, then what are they good for??

We will probably always have a 2 party system but they don’t have to be today’s parties.

Been saying for a long time in these parts that the GOPe has to be bypassed, and pretty much the only way to accomplish this is to form a new, conservative party that puts America first. Of coure, special care would have to be taken to ensure that GOPe interlopers don't try to infiltrate the party.

In their defense, they have prevented H.R. 4269 and similar bills from being passed thus far. If Hillary is going to be president, it is critical that we maximize our influence in the HOR and senate to reduce the likelihood of such a bill passing. There are certainly individuals that we need to look at replacing in any upcoming primaries but the last thing we need to do is hand that witch a Democratic congress. That will be apocalyptic. IMHO.

I think the lesson to be learned is Trump has made it further, than any recent “rebellion” candidate.

That is partly because he worked from an existing major party.

Win or lose, Trump’s supporters cannot be dismissed, from the GOP’s fortunes.

There is a lot of overlap with Trump’s supporters and the Tea Party.

Build on that.

“I think it becomes a necessity if we want to save what’s left.”

I think if Trump wins, he moves to support a founding of a Freedom Party and based on 2018 elections, whether he should in fact defect from the republican party.

Yes. We’ll have to wait until the big day in November.
We can still win, I think due to Donalds high popularity with many voters. Don’t forget, many Trump voters are probably not admitting it now. In today’s Demo-Dominated world, your job, your home, your car and your privacy could be violated by the Progressives, aka Demo/Socialists/BLM/LGBT/ Hillary voters.

These groups don’t believe in privacy or equal protection under the law. There are even a couple of robed Judges who believe the same thing. What we now call Democracy is but a watered down version of what we as a country used to have for most the people.

All I see these days is apocalypse. Wouldn’t surprise me that the USA breaks apart within a decade.

Been listening to Rush again since the primary ended. He just called out elected GOP officials running for reelection. Asked them point blank: why should traditional GOP voters support you this time? If it’s clear you don’t intend to stop Hillary or the Obama agenda, what does supporting you get them? Great question. Go Trump Go. And I’m happy to once again say: Go Rush Go!!!

Yes, I should have been more clear, I did mean after the election. In fact I bet Trump would be open to the idea even when/if he wins after seeing how so many in the GOP has abandoned him.

If hitlerette wins we already know the GOP is no longer on our side in many ways so why not look alternatives.

If Hillary gets in, we’re probably going to need Freedom Fighters, not so much a Freedom Party.
