I read Columbus' story translated from his own documents, Pretty interesting. Unlike his underwrites, who were looking for, got, amd wasted untold riches from it in religious wars, he sought principally to bring the simple Christian Faith to an unevangelized part of the globe. And he wept over it.

He was a great man with a magnificent vision and an irresistible tenacity.
