There was a LOT of terrorism in the 70s. There was so much it didn’t even tend to be news, at least not on the national or international front. It was just the background noise of life.

That was the “golden age” of the PLO, Weather Underground and IRA. It was the era of the OPEC Siege, the LaGuardia Bombing, and Black September. It was a messy time.

The majority of the terrorism in the 70's was carried out by anarchists and other malcontents protesting against "the man."
