The 2016 stunning rise of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump continues to confound political pundits and polling operations. The real estate mogul has erased Hillary Clintons lead, which was as high as 8 points in early August to take a 2-point national lead over her in the latest CNN/ORC poll.
The shocking numbers come the day before Clinton suffered a four-and-a-half minute coughing fit at a campaign rally raising concerns about her health and suspicious absence from the campaign trail the last ten-days. Doctors throughout the nation have chimed in with concerns about her ability to campaign effectively.
The poll results: Trump: 45 percent; Clinton: 43 percent; Libertarian Gary Johnson: 7 percent; Green Partys Jill Stein: 2 percent.
Clinton had led Trump by 8 points in the CNN/ORC in early August, a post-Democratic convention bounce for Clinton. The mainstream media gleefully predicted a landslide as her campaign went into cruise mode.
Voters surveyed believe Clinton will win by 59 percent. Just 34 percent think Trump will win the election, according to CNN. Yet as those numbers were announced, the majority of media outlets are ignoring Hillarys obvious health problems. Is she seriously ill and incapable of sustaining he grueling last two months and three national debates?
Other key results from the CNN/ORC poll: Trump leads among independents, 49 percent to 29 percent for Clinton; 16 percent back the Libertarian candidate Johnson Clinton leads with women, 53 percent to 38 percent; Trump leads with men, 54 percent to 32 percent for Clinton; Clinton leads with voters 45 and under, 54 percent to 29 percent; Trump leads with voters 45 and older, 54 percent to 39 percent.
Of the top four issues for voters surveyed, Trump is more trusted on two of them: Economy: 56 percent trust Trump more than Clinton (41 percent); Terrorism: 51 percent trust Trump more than Clinton (45 percent); Foreign policy: Clinton more trusted, 56 percent to 40 percent; Immigration: 49 percent favor Clintons policy to 47 percent for Trump.
In the most stunning polling result, probable voters see Trump as the more trustworthy and honest candidate, 50 percent to 35 percent for Clinton. It appears the polls are showing a trend that is now favoring Trump. It is similar to Ronald Reagans numbers in the fall of 1980 in his run against incumbent President Jimmy Carter.
The CNN/ORC Poll was conducted Sept. 1-4 among a random national sample of 1,001 adults. Other national polls are expected to release their results later this week. But the numbers from the CNN/ORC poll clearly indicate Hillary Clintons presumed victory in November is now seriously in question.
Not unlike the medias description of candidate Reagan as a reckless cowboy, war monger and grade B actor, the racist, bigot, crazy Trump is ascending from the ashes. The question is, are the American people witness to the greatest comeback in presidential elections in 68-year?

That makes sense. Thanks for posting it.
She is compromising her health for the sake of greed and power and other bad things. She has no soul.
Huma is my guess.
LOL Good one.
Judging by these statistics from the article:
"Foreign policy: Clinton more trusted, 56 percent to 40 percent; Immigration: 49 percent favor Clintons policy to 47 percent for Trump,"
I would say that a frighteningly high number of people already have no clue how to discern a quality candidate.
The majority of Catholics are going to vote for Hillary. That means they are spiritually deaf, blind, and dead. They are too stupid and wicked to connect the dots beyween their vote for Hillary and the slaughter of babies.
And they have dozens of bishops bad-mouthing Trump, because he threatens the illegal alien money machine. And not a few of the bishops are pro-abortion, and know that this Pope rewards pro-abortion bishops.
1. Everyone can see clearly from her public appearances her limited mobility and long bouts of coughing.
2. The very fact CNN's HLN channel canceled Dr. Drew's show and Huffington Post dismissed a writer, both for daring to question Hillary's health.
I really wonder is there a betting pool on when will Hillary end up incapacitated for health reasons.
Hillary never had an 8 point lead...
Trump has always had a structural lead of 4-5 points on the low end.
And his lead will stretch well beyond that as time goes on, and most of the never trumpers and other republicans come home now that they have worked through their grief, and as he begins to lead consistently more of those who plan on voting for him but unwilling to admit it will start to admit it as well.
The polls claiming Hillary had 8 points are laughable... the polls claiming she’s polling up at near or over 50% nationally are equally laughable.
Hillary has a structural max in the low 40s.. 42-43% on her best day!
The only way she can get over that is if Trump’s supporters suddenly abandoned him and decided to stay home.. hillary wouldn’t get one more vote, but her percentage would go up only because fewer folks showed up to vote.
The odds of that happening? Next to nil.
Hillary can’t get 60M voters to show up and vote for her on her best best best day... Meanwhile, in spite of having poor enthusiasm in 08 and 12, Republicans can put up 61M votes with a boring candidate all day long... Trump will likely bring 64-68 M votes on election day, possibly more.
The fundamentals of this race haven’t changed since day one.. Trump basically had a week or two of wasting energy on the Kahn and other nonsense, right out of the conventions... basically a stumble, and he quickly recognized and fixed, put everything back on course.. and Hillary stupidly bought into her own narrative and thought she could play wait out the clock.
Trump is starting to see the inflection that was always going to happen in the polls as republicans come home, and home as he wins, those who have been hesitant to admit they will vote for him will start to admit what they have been going to do all along... and the more it becomes obvious he’s winning the more will admit they are planning to vote for him... and his lead will grow, and it will self feed...
Meanwhile Hillary realizing she’s losing will be forced to actually campaign, and Hillary always goes down in the polls the more she’s seen, because she’s just a horrible campaigner and not a likable person... so the more she is out there trying to battle back against Trump the lower she will poll.
The inflection point where you will start to see the compounding building of Trumps lead will happen right about or slightly before the debates. Assuming Trump comes out of the debates without looking like a complete loon.. then you will see that lead start to really take off as those “undecideds” who really aren’t undecideds, but just had to be convinced Trump is viable will come on board largely.... They won’t break for Hillary... they will either come home to Trump or largely stay home on election day.
By Oct it will be obvious to all but the most ardent D that Hillary is on her way to a very bad trouncing. D’s will be playing defense trying to hold onto states no one, no one in the pundit class would ever imagine would be “in play”.
It is not Hillary’s health that is doing her in—it is Hillary’s lying about her health that is doing her in.
Trump has a 20 percentage point lead over Clinton with independents? Clinton is toast. Rats and GOP are roughly equivalent in numbers. Though with Clinton’s virtual absence from the campaign trail she’s not likely to energize the base for a big turnout. Meanwhile Trump has a lot of energy and momentum. But really, the independents are the key to swinging the election one way or the other. Trump’s 20 point lead is huge. He keeps this up, landslide.
The Clinton corruption is amazing.
I predict she dies in her sleep before November unless she stops her campaign immediately and gets some rest and treatment. The old lady is not well at all. Yesterday's optics were an utter disaster with her trained seal Kaine sitting behind her cracking up - get off your ass and give her a hankerchief!
For the record — That wasn’t me in those commercials. :=)
Bob Dole knows that Bob Dole was in that commercial and not Bob!
That cartoon has so many tiny details that simply kick it: an applauding media, more islamiscts than anyone else, a dissapointed svengali named soros, the grim reaper, a half-dead bill clinton, an auditorium that is 90 percent empty, and a syringe of evil sticking outta hillary illin’s azz.
Another FReeper sent me that link. It was very convincing.
There are certain heart medications that make you cough. They can be definitely tied into one another in certain cases.
“I predict she dies in her sleep before November unless she stops her campaign immediately and gets some rest and treatment. The old lady is not well at all.”
You just know there are secret betting pools and wagers being placed around the world, over that very thing.
No rational, sane person, would continue to pursue the course she’s on, with such dire health risks looming daily. That is, unless that person was so indebted to ‘someone’, that the prospects of quitting were worse than death itself.
It’s my guess that the Clinton crime syndicate is now so deep in the pockets of foreign despots and globalist oligarchs, that none of them can turn back now. Even if it means pushing Hillary beyond what her sickly body can handle, they’re all in, and will soldier forward, no matter the cost.
