I wonder if it is same as “activated” charcoal...
For sour stomach. Also for bloating. Good for reducing inflamation of joints, and much, much more!

I took Curcumin plus some other things (for ex. ginger and garlic), for a growth I had on palm of my hand...it was either a bone spur or a ganglion cyst...(I have had ganglion, but thot it might be spur because of the computer typing finger motion—too much time on FR LOL)
So it was the size of a pea, headed to garbanzo bean sized—under skin...It is now gone...took 3 weeks to go away...perhaps it would have gone away on its own, but I atribute it to the herbal stuff I was taking...I am so glad I did not need surgery or aspiration!
I have 2 friends trying curcumin now for spurs or cysts and one using it as an anti-inflamatory.
I swear by it.
The type and brand of curcumin you take can make a difference!!!
Why pepper with it??? Black or cayenne?
I have seen supplements of Tumeric with pepper—wondered why?
Thank you!
Still trying to figure out difference between Tumeric and Curcumin...Just thot Curcumin was better.
Do you recommend a brand? Freepmail if prefer :)
Almost think we should have a health alternatives thread—like the gardening thread...
Could see a lot of interest from preppers, seniors, health-conscious Freepers, etc..
As health care costs increase, utilizing effective natural remedies will be invaluable to many.
“.Just thot Curcumin was better.”
It is. It’s the active ingredient in Turmeric.
Ah, thanks!!
“I wonder if it is same as activated charcoal...”
not the same, but unless you have a serious medical problem, dont fall for the “supplement hustle”.
Nature’s Answer brand from The Vitamin Store franchise, or probably online. Comes in a bottle as a liquid with an eyedropper. Mix with a couple ounces of water. Virtually no taste.
Tumeric doesn’t work for everybody.
Thanks!
Agreed...just want it in medicine chest for every so often/ emergencies :)
and... SOY OIL
Pepper seems to help the turmeric work.
In fac, you know you are getting enough turmeric if you start wanting pepper on your food instead of salt.
If you take turmeric you may get some puffiness in your glands on the side of your neck - pepper seems to make that not happen.
I didn't use any additional vinegar, but I add apple cider vinegar to my diet now.
Thanks for posting stuff from a doctor who has a vested interest in keeping everyone going to doctors.
I have disproven my own doctors on many occasions (and I am not an idiot- I have advanced physics degrees)

The fermentation might relate back to the reasoning a glass of red wine is good for you.
