Who the fudge is Jonah Goldberg and why should I care?
I have a feeling Jonah’s problem is primarily personal.
Secondly, I think he has the same problem the others at NR have - they’ve been promoting a model of modern conservatism that has become almost wholly an intellectual exercise.
For example, an event happens, our side is completely unprepared for it, drops the ball, and the liberals advance on their agenda.
Professional conservatives then write about how bad it is, how unfair it is, how unjust it is, etc. No solutions. Nothing to change the status quo. Just an intellectual exercise as to why it is bad.
This crew has lost the ear of many conservatives and Republicans. I think they sincerely never expected that their own side would call them on their BS. Yet here we are, and they are characteristically unprepared.
The Cheap Labor Express stooges have to help Hillary win.
Trump will shut them down and they will not tolerate the citizen stopping the illegal alien inundation.
Yheb! is NOT a Conservative. Ditto Romney, Ditto Ryan, Ditto Turtle. Trump is not one either. WTH do these people want?
Criticizing Goldberg because he criticizes Trump after the primaries are over? This war between Trump and the Establishment goes on even though the convention is over but I don’t think you can blame that exclusively on the Establishment. Trump himself has done quite a lot to keep it going.
Jonah had a chance. He had a national audience. His mistake was he showed himself to be nothing more than an Establishment shill who was riding his mommys coat tails anyway. He doesn’t deserve any more attention. Go away fat boy

What is it that makes so many insiders hate him?
His style is not that of the august statesman, but more of a straight forward businessman that doesn't mince words and gets straight to the point.
The public is tired of the Kabuki politicians dancing around issues and never solving them.
I have short fuse with these nevertrumpers. Hillary has a long list of offenses and law breaking but people like Goldberg rather focus on the things Trump says. FUJG!!!!

At the time of the Monica Lewinsky scandal Jonas mother was flying sky-high, had a lot of Fame and towards the end of that she leveraged everything to start a career for her son, Jonah, who at the time was absolutely nobody.
It is very difficult for me in view of that to take her son seriously, who when he first started out spoke exactly like a valley girl.
He used the word LIKE three times in each sentence.
Jonah Goldberg has decided that for emotional reasons he cannot defend the Constitution. Some "conservative", huh?
Having gritted my teeth and closed my eyes in the last two Presidential elections and voted for GOP candidates that I deemed total (TOTAL!) losers, the attitude of the GOPe this time round totally (TOTALLY!) confirms my opinion.
To disparage Donald Trump, from a faux Conservative prospective, you have to demonstrate an inability to prioritize issues; you have to fail to recognize that the most basic issue in a Constitutional Republic, is what is the fundamental purpose of your Constitutional Republic.
Donald Trump gets it; Jonah simply misses the whole point of the Constitutional purpose: To put Americans first.
Would anyone argue the point?

Does it ever gripe you to see the word `self-styled' conservatives when reading FR described? Well, what do all the self-styled conservatives supporting Hillary Clinton have in common? (Jeopardy theme song playing) OK. Here's a hint: they used to be socialists. But now they are called ..... neocons.Look. I didn’t support trump, and I think the guy is an a-hole. I think that the ongoing vicious attacks, including all the time on this forum, on people who make the self-evident observation that trump is not a conservative, are unjust and counterproductive. That said, with the possible exception of 2004, starting in 1988I’ve dutifully voted every four years for someone I didn’t think was the best person for the job. People like Goldberg told me I had to. With every fiber of being I want trump elected because the alternative is too horrible to contemplate. I like goldberg’s work... I think he’s funny as hell. But this daily bashing on NR I just don’t understand. I don’t know what it is supposed to accomplish. Likewise the republican leaders who just can’t wait for another chance to denounce him.. One good I hope comes of all this is when trump is elected he realizes he cannot work with re establishment and smashes them into a million bits.
