HUGE mistake letting him speak.

ONCE AGAIN, nonsense is going to dominate the MSM.

First, Melania, second, Cruz.

NEVER heard of someone speaking at a convention who is not supporting the nominee!!!! WTH!!!

The First Lady made a mistake, it was not her fault.

Cruz on the other hand made a decision to not endorse.

His ambition has blinded him ....AGAIN.

One theory is that Trump’s team gambled that he couldn’t help himself and would make himself a pariah forever. It happened. He is finished.

Think 3D chess.

Trump told us about lyin' Ted. Some (libbylu, 2nddivisionvet, GGG, & many more) refused to believe he is a snake.

Now it's there for everyone to see!

Ronald Reagan spoke at the '76 convention and did not endorse Gerald Ford!

Some of Reagan's delegates walked out of the hall as well in '76.

Of course, that was when bullies ran back room deals to pick the nominee.

The good 'ole boys tried to force the nominee to be Bush in '80 as well.

We think of Geo. H. W. as a nice guy now - but he was one mean and devious sob then.

It does seem like the RNC organizers (and Newt at least) expected an endorsement from Cruz during his speech.

Here's what was on Newt's teleprompter (which he evidently ended up improvising on)

Bit blurry, but it pretty clearly says that "Senator Ted Cruz in particular made the key point that we need to elect the Trump-Pence Republican ticket".

This won’t hurt Trump one bit. It will actually help his street cred with crossover voters and Bernie supporters. Cruz is universally despised except by a small handful of delusional ‘conservatives’. For most people, not getting Cruz’s support is a resume enhancer for Trump.

Not a mistake. A stroke of brilliance on Trump’s part. It was a no brainer that Cruz would self-destruct this way because he is a petty little man. This is a uniting moment in the race. Those who supported Cruz are disillusioned. I watched it on CSPAN and people were calling in from all over saying that they had donated to him, supported him, but now were disgusted by him.
