Why not? The police are there to enforce the law. If the bad guys have military grade weapons, why shouldn’t the good guys have them? All police should get combat training. It is always better to prepare for the worst(combat situation) and hope for the best(peaceful streets). This is why it sickens me when a lightly training soldier can take out a dozen police. I also think fat/unfit police should either get the desk duty or get out. You don’t see obese soldiers running around.
I’m talking about the PUBLIC clamoring for the right to carry these weapons, not the police. That is something the police would never stand for.
