Connnecticut State Police Maj. William Podgorski, one of the lead investigator in the Sandy Hook shooting investigation, died earlier this week. Podgorski, 49, died on Monday following a brief illness and surgery.

Sometime after surgery on Friday, Podgorski was transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital from another hospital, Grant said. He died there Monday morning surrounded by his family.

Podgorski was not only a part of the Sandy Hook investigation, but also was a hero in the community he served.
He was awarded the Lifesaving Award from the department in 2006 after he came upon a woman that had crashed into the railing and had severed her leg. He used a bungee cord from his vehicle to stop the bleeding. Following the incident, paramedics and emergency room doctors said the woman would have died if Podgorski had not acted as he did.
However, this was not the only time he received the award. He also received the same award a second time along with Outstanding Service Awards.

I’m 67 and my lifestyle choices (food, drink, weight) should have landed me six feet under years ago.
49 is young. My wife died at 49 just before 9-11 of a cerebral hemorrhage. She is forever young to me.
Something about this other 49 year old’s death doesn’t add up.
With respect, ‘What deep dark secret was he killed for?’ To keep Sandy Hook out of the news. The shooting has many suspicious features: photoshopped pictures, choreographed movements by police, fake identities of some kids, and gushing by Oprah. I hope to visit the site for myself.
I think one thing that drives me to this day, I owe it to my fellow Soldiers that did not make it back, to live an amazing life !

That's my feeling at 67. I had a sort of a crisis at age 50, but it didn't really amount to much ... just got me on a bunch of pills. Maybe they're helping me ... couldn't say. It's all gravy now, is my feeling.

I believe the man you’re referring to is named Robbie Parker. He did exactly as you said, except when he did ‘cry’, there actually were no tears, leading people to believe he was faking it.
Many unanswered questions that I won’t go into, but the fact that the CT police threatened prosecution if anyone disseminated information other than the official story was not only odd, but unheard of (as far as I knew).
Getting one’s staff car creamed by a runaway truck is medical treatment?
I don’t think Patton was assassinated, but his death made life a lot easier for Ike & the other generals who regarded him as a loose cannon.
