remember Ahnold as Gov of KA? Who did he sleep with?
The maid, apparently...
True words
Truth hurts.
I in general do not trust those, like Trump, need to appoint an “Evangelical advisory board” to tell them what “Christians” (well 25% of Christians anyway... I guess Orthodox, Catholic, and mainline protestants don’t count) in America expect from their leaders.
I do not believe for a second Trump was trying to find out what THEY want, I believe it was a chance for them to get to know him on a personal level nothing more take him or leave him that is Trumps motto!!! Leave him and take Hillary!!!
Well, that makes sense.
He needs to get to know bible belt "Evangelicals" that are ALREADY safely Republican and a lock to vote against Hillary anyway, regardless of who the Republican nominee is.
But he doesn't need to "reach out" to the OTHER 75% of Christians in America, especially those living in swing state areas like the Midwest and rocky mountain states that are essential to win in November. You know, like the kind of voters the last Republican to actually WIN the presidency was successful in bringing into his camp.
Interesting "strategy" for "victory".
He gave credit for full transcript release to Paul Ryan?!?!
Did Ryan deserve it?
I thought many had called for full disclosure!
Two reasons I can think of.
Graham is in the process of traveling to all 50 states giving talks about his passion for Christ and also our Christian duty to vote
But he is careful not to tell them who to vote for
Also, no doubt, Graham was just as burned by Bush as I was.
I hope when he finishes the “process of traveling to all 50 states giving talks about...our duty to vote” that he WILL man-up and ENDORSE TRUMP.
With all due respect, Bush election has nothing to do with this election~like comparing apples to oranges.
To say times have changed is the understatement of the decade! I could say much here, but the bottom line is that Gore did not have a potential to appoint 4 radical progressive anti-Christian Supreme Court judges...Hillary does and certainly will, and he knows this. If Hillz wins, the US, as we know it is over, and he knows this as well.
Praying for the Country is wonderful and #1 priority, but VOTING FOR TRUMP is #2 priority.
Oh, and I sure hope he reads this!
Franklin, what a disappointment. We don’t know about Trump but we do know that Hillary is Full Blown Evil.
No he isn’t. In the case of Franklin Graham it is BEST to keep politics out of his ministry at this point. Some people cannot get past a preacher’s politics to see Jesus.
***Question: Did Franklin Grahams father ever endorse presidential candidates?***
I don’t know. But I do know he hung out with Nixon a lot and talked bad about Jews.
Question: Did Franklin Grahams father ever endorse presidential candidates?
“Its disgusting reading such hateful, virulent, name calling posts here.
Take your name calling elsewhere
How dare you say such nasty words about Franklin Graham.”
***I will not respond to this.***
Um, what? You just did a lot of responding there.
Yeah I was thinking that, too. I guess us Conservative Catholics aren’t on his radar.
But then again, it’s not like we’ve ever been a big part of the political process in this country anyway.
Please tell me in detail why Al Gore or John Kerry was a better choice. Thank you.
A pastor as a citizen can endorse, but the church can't endorse.
AMEN and more
To hear the media and fellow FReepers talk about religion in this country, you'd assume American "Christians" consist of about 99% "evangelicals" and 1% everyone else. The actual demographics show that there are about equal numbers of Catholics and evangelical protestants in America. But our pastors never get noticed because most priests are soft-spoken squishes afraid to "offend" anyone or comment on any politician/election. Their pastors are the opposite -- EXTREMELY outspoken about politicians, and have a "MY way or the highway!" mentality.
>> But then again, its not like weve ever been a big part of the political process in this country anyway. <<
In terms of swinging an election nationally, true. But in terms of influence on government policy, we're huge. Just look at how the left foamed at the mouth when conservative Catholics made up a majority of SCOTUS judges (and there are still zero protestants on the court).
My. You are special for calling him out. Like he cares one way or the other what you think. Which he doesn’t because he doesn’t know who you are and he will never read your wasted bandwidth, either. In fact, perhaps a few hundred will read what you wrote and forget it immediately.
No. Impeaching and removing is sufficient for me. I agree with you 100%, but the sad truth is that it will never happen.
