I never heard of the mold for the ear. My doctor never did that. They don’t fit that well either. My insurance company paid, and they had a list to choose from. These were expensive hearing aids, so it wasn’t cost that limited the list. I’m hoping they add more providers.
If it’s a large national chain provider, they probably don’t do the molds, but we found a small independent provider who seemed interested in actually providing devices that would help. He said they won’t work properly if they don’t fit well and that was the problem with the one size fits all products sold by Beltone. He didn’t charge extra for the molds so he wasn’t just doing it for money.
