I get so sick of hearing politicians squabble over "radical Islam" and "moderate Islam" or some such other horseshit.

The government and media throw out crap like Sunnis and Shia Muslims are at war and of course they always will be, but they always stop fighting to celebrate a successful hit on the United States.
The radical Muslim is the guy putting the rusty bloody blade to your throat, the moderate Muslim is the guy cheering and holding the executioner's harem of goats/5 year old boys/wives/slaves/what-have-you.
People have been saying that since 2001. Do we just sit on
our thumbs for another 15 years waiting for that to happen?

I feel your pain, friends, but I met a woman in Los Angeles recently who gives me hope. She was born in Iran 20 years before the Shah was deposed, forced into marriage and sent to the USA. She says she always dreamed of coming here, because even as a child she felt she was really an American who had the bad luck to be born into the wrong culture and country. Despite having no family here, getting divorced at a young age and being left with a child, she’s never returned to “the old country”. She’s involved with conservative groups and is a real fighter. I’m encouraging her to post her story here on Free Republic. Now the bad news; she claims that most Muslims she knows don’t appreciate or like America, and they will never become the moderate defenders of freedom that this war needs.

If "moderate" Muslims openly renounce the teachings of the Koran and renounce Sharia, they will be marked as apostates. Many will be killed by observant Muslims.
I doubt that many "moderate" Muslims will find the prospect of decapitation sufficiently appealing for them to follow David Sussman's recommendations.

David Sussman obviously doesn't know most Muslims. There are the "radicals" (Omar, who murdered dozens of innocents) and the "moderates" (Omar's second wife, who knew Omar's plans and said NOTHING!).
As for the Muslims who "abhor" what is being done, they all went to the streets yesterday to protest. Oh, you didn't see them marching in your town? Neither did I....
