The scenes from Chicago in March and the scenes from New Mexico, San Diego and San Jose tell a pretty frightening story. America's left have turned up to smash police cars, punch peaceful attendees and verbally attack anyone who supports Donald Trump. We have seen the left do things that the Tea Party has never done. No matter how heated the rhetoric becomes, we conservatives rarely resort to violence. Even after Christian bakers are punished for refusing to betray their values and conservative pundits are barred and locked out of campus speeches, we conservatives always keep our cool. This should be the single truth that helps Americans decide who occupies the White House after Barack Obama. Will we choose the violent Alinsky tactics of the left, or will we stand up for our values and elect Donald Trump?
The progressive globalists mean business. Trump's candidacy threatens to end a decades-long effort to dissolve national sovereignty and erase America's borders. Donald Trump may not be the most perfect candidate for some conservatives, but his presidency would rebuild American sovereignty and restore America's right to self determination. That means it will once again be Americans charting their country's course, not the bureaucrats who have been selling American sovereignty to the United Nations on a piecemeal basis since 1988. Donald Trump threatens to give America back to Americans and take it away from a dynasty of globalist aristocrats.

“Your an udiot.”
Nope. Everything I said is absolutely true.
“Its good for guerilla,war.”
Not in an age of metal detectors and CCTV cameras. Think about, you twit, how are you even going to get close to the people you really need to kill in a war with only pistols? A good shooter struggles to land kill shots with a pistol from 40 yards away. That’s just a fact. The man you’re trying to kill will have a rifle or carbine or bodyguards with rifles and carbines, and up-armored vehicles, radio and cell phone communications, road and yard barriers, fences, wall, metal detectors in central buildings, body armor and CCTV systems galore. So your entire success will boil down to taking out a few people in the beginning and occasionally getting lucky. Then everything gets harder and what happens is every man who tries to attack using a only a pistol gets mowed down by a guy with a rifle or carbine and wearing a bullet proof vest.
“Americans have never practiced murder.”
Well, for a people who have never practiced it we’re pretty damn good at it. Just ask anyone in Chicago how Memorial Day Weekend went.
“I suspect that since 2008 the private ammo stash has increased dramatically. 30 years ago one would keep a couple of boxes around and pick up what was needed that day on the way to the range. I dont think that is so much the case now.”
True. And sure plenty of people have been buying handguns - they have their uses. They’re just not that useful against a modern army.
Yo Bull.....I volunteer to be your ammo bearer.
oohrah!!!
“Has there ever been some kind of impactful civil conflict where the poorest people are as comfortable and healthy as ours?”
Perhaps not. What I think may be developing, however, is not a civil conflict launched by the poorest but by the middle class (which is shrinking and struggling and seems to be figuring out it is getting soaked). Can a middle class revolt work when it is simultaneously fighting the rich (the elites), the poor (who are the plantation hirelings of the elite) and the governmental structure (military, police, gov’t depts, etc.)?
Nice to have you on board, Bro.
It’s a huge question mark as far as I can see. We had wealthy guys being leaders for just causes, but they always had many more poor folks who were down with the cause or general injustice to field against whoever in the conflict.
Our middle class is way beyond wealthy if you look at the general standard throughout recorded history. But the poor are also wealthy if you look at it in that context maybe. I’m not sure ‘willing to die for this’ will translate if everyone is actually wealthy. I don’t think it has ever happened maybe. But that doesn’t mean it couldn’t.
Freegards
Lotta long guns in this country.
Variables about the US that make this sort of theoretical discussion tough. Because of size, geography, a civilian population with a lot of firearms and (I believe) a lot of ammunition, I wonder if a large scale military style crackdown would be a cake walk *if* there was serious resistance. Superior military technology might not be that overwhelming in the medium to long run.
The largest unpredictable variable will always be the American people.
Gosh, that was a very good article.
I can say gosh, some others do. ;>)
Guns that are capable of killing deer at a distance might be a difference maker as compared to other civil conflicts where the populace wasn’t in possession of them. But maybe that only means they have to just go slower with the progression of the crap they pull so all those deer rifles won’t be repurposed at once.

A handgun is an effective weapon of opportunity, but not useful to any degree against a well trained and organized military force. Neither is any single unorganized individual. You can have two hundred guns and tons of ammo, but without serious organization and backup against a real military detachment in ten seconds you will not even be a statistic.
All revolutionary actions or guerilla tactics involve hit and run operations against softer targets, in which a handgun can be effective. These attacks are a means to acquire better weapons, notoriety, and to increase recruitment to the cause. With additional manpower comes organization, which is critical for success. An organized partisan force can become well armed and trained in a remarkably short time, and in the beginning handguns can be quite effective in acquisition of weaponry and armor. And not all weapons involve firearms by any means.
Find some good info on the major revolutionaries of Latin America for good examples of partisan warfare. See how difficult was for Che Guevara, Marti, Sandino, Madero, Castro, FARC, FMLN, etc. They all follow the same pattern, and none are/were easy, but in all handguns were initially very important and remained an effective weapon throughout.
These are merely my personal opinions and observations from living in Latin America, so personal attacks (”Think about, you twit”) are not necessary.
Scariest thing is, police forces are now taking sides.
Stuff like this is going to make the movement for Trump grow.
It’s been 75 years since the last unlimited warfare was practiced by those of European decent. For this grouping there is a rather high trigger threshold of discontent; which, divides abiding by some grievance resolution process, or utterly destroying all the opposition. No grey area exists between these two points.
Much effort has been expended to reign in this tendency to war. Rule of law and codes of conduct were implemented to redirect aggressive potential away from combat as the first resort for settling grievances. It’s simply a historical fact that history has been shaped by the genetic war potential inherited courtesy of the European gene pool.
Many peoples of the world, as a group, embrace aggression as a central turning of their livelihood. The tipping point for using force is low, and they see no downside in most instances. Their culture views restraint in some peoples as a weakness, never considering a heritage long steeped in blood, has shaped cultural devices to provide an alternative. To these we hold until no further option avails, then the blood hunger asserts.
A people making themselves into an unrelenting thorn, escalating bad behavior without considering history and consequences, should ponder willfully striking sparks amongst the explosives.
Great analysis! Need to consider it deeply...
We have been sold out to the thugs - there’s a difference.
Trump's presidency will prevent real civil war.
Mr. Trump WILL bring together!
Let's not forget the armpit of the east coast, Baltimore.
“Not in an age of metal detectors and CCTV cameras.”
The technology of our age isn’t what will sink us as a civilian opposition. It’s the unwillingness to do what needs to be done. Our enemies have made fools of us because of this.
What we’re dealing with now is the purest form of evil that has ever existed. It’s the evil that will take its own flesh and blood child and wrap a bomb in it’s blanket and hand it to you for their “cause”. It’s the evil that trains its children to enjoy beheading other human beings for its “cause”. It’s the evil that doesn’t value anything that is remotely human, only its own survival as a whole.
The only way to have a victory over this pure of an evil entity is to fight it on its own level. While I may agree that Americans and especially Christians aren’t made of the stuff that does this; it might just be the only way to “win” in the worldly sense.
It doesn’t matter what kind of weapon you have when you have to watch your own family slaughtered in front of your very eyes. Hindsight may make you wish you had used whatever you had to save them, whether it be a pistol or a rock. Americans have been loathe to rock the boat. Now it’s sinking. The worst is yet to come.
