I've got a bunch of pistols, but the best compact I've got is a S&W Shield. Not quite as small as a .380, but way slimmer and more compact than even an XDs. No malfs or FTFs EVER. The gun shoots and shoots, and feels great, and conceals real well. It gets my total recommendation.

Both good choices, but much bigger than the Bodyguard 380. I already have and like the S&W M&P 40 and the Sig Sauer P320SC. I’m really trying to find a good replacement for the smaller S&W Bodyguard 380, in either .380 or 9mm.

XDS .45 in an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2 holster here. Love that gun for EDC.

I personally recommend the Taurus PT-709 Slim. 6+1 rounds of 9mm, and it has worked flawlessly, for me. It is 1” thick,and with the proper ky-dex holster is almost invisible. When I bought it, I put over 500 rounds through it, with no FTF’s, ever. I didn’t even clean it after the first month to test it’s reliability. I’ve had it for over 5 years, and I would stake my life on it. Also, it was my preferred carry piece when I traveled to Detroit.

I have the P238 and a Kimber Ultra.....love them both but they are too nice to beat up. Am thinking of getting an XDS 3.3 in 45 ACP.
