Considering the state of American colleges and students that may stay away can just as easily find communist brain washing in France ... and because the French actually expect results they’ll probably get a better education as well.
And then they can stay there instead of here.
For those who won’t be chased away there’s still the few less “progressive” campuses and some non-apostate church affiliated schools.
And they can still stay here.

My understanding is that international students, especially those from China and the Mideast, are paying full tuition most of the time, funded by their home governments for the children of well-connected families. It’s money that is keeping a lot of schools in business.
