“Why the developed part of the world is committing suicide and facilitating their demise is simply mind-boggling.”
I caught the last part of a story of a prominent Republican, shown working with all the Republican presidents since and including Reagan, coming out for Hillary. He said 4 years of Hillary will not be as bad as 1 day of Trump in office. And, he said, the protests against Trump would continue if he got into office. Now that part is true, since it would show that the American people have chosen to fight, rather than surrender their country.
I have noticed that Mexicans will not fight their government in Mexico because it will fight back, but will illegally enter the country and fight the American people with the help of the American government.
Meanwhile.....the national debt grows apace, inexorably marching toward a staggering $20 trillion. And this does not include another mind boggling $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities.
Each taxpayers’ share of the mountainous level of national debt is $161,000 and rising rapidly. But wait, there’s more. The unfunded liabilities add another $855,000 on the backs of each taxpayer.
That’s a total burden of over $1 million per taxpayer! No responsible government would put that kind of burden on its citizens.
I was reading in 1 Samuel this morning about Eli, the priest and how God allowed the death of his two sons on the same day b/c he did not restrain them.
A metaphor for America.
Oh yes they are much closer than we think.
The Lord won’t allow an unrepentant nation to continue on the path of destruction without consequences.
It might be too late, it might not be. We don't really know. To think we know the mind of God in all this, or his willingness to give another chance is a bit risky, and perhaps the wrong thing to do.
History is full of examples of nations being pulled from the brink, the most recent examples being Britain under Churchill, who most emphatically WAS NOT a Christian, and the U.S. under Reagan, who defeated a supposedly born again, strong Christian to give us another opportunity.
It is also filled with examples of times a lot of people were wrong about their own country collapsing.
Being watchful is one thing, or even mindful that we are in a perilous condition, but proclaiming we're going under as many did in 1980, might be premature.
Being ready and willing to deal with either situation is what would be important.
The USA was designed to collapse back into 50 individual countries. Fret not for our founders thought of this centuries ago.
God is our only Salvation. He always has been.
Anybody putting “faith” in a candidate can’t see the forest from the trees.
“I have noticed that Mexicans will not fight their government in Mexico because it will fight back, but will illegally enter the country and fight the American people with the help of the American government.”
This may be the quote of the year.
I appreciate what you’re saying but think we’re beyond the election being ‘important’. Its now an existential matter.
I barely recognize the country I grew up in.
And whatever you’re looking at in your rear view mirror is gaining on you.
Sorry, this years election is to late to stop the collapse. And, no one in the running has what it takes. It takes strong faith in God, first. No one left who has that.
^^^^^ This. And it’s not just your opinion. 100 years of Marxist meddling with the public schools virtually assures us of our fate.
But the truth is a bit more complicated. The Mexican government USES their excess population of military aged males to attack us economically so they DON’T have to fight with them back home.
“This is why this years Presidential election is so very, very important.”
This country has a spiritual problem. Don’t think any human is going to fix it. Until the country repents and turns to God, its finished.
C’mon, time to take our country back!
Rather, to correct you, BELIEVE in God FIRST, then REPENT.
The state does not want strong, independent and self reliant citizens who have little need for the state’s “services”. The state can only expand and control the populace by making them dependent on it. And there is no shortage of people willing to be “helped” largely because our so-called educational system has promoted the rise of a national atmosphere of dependence, and now a tidal wave of immigrants has picked up on this theme. The die is cast.
The status quo of "things getting a little worse every year" can continue for a surprisingly long time.
Most of them are probably utterly oblivious to the example of Venezuela.
I agree with you on that point. Cleary, critical thinking and the lessons of history are not taught in our public schools. They are too busy indoctrinating the our youth and forging in them a group think mentality.
