Worked in azoo, love animals. But they had to do it. Hanna is right. The kid’s mother should face charges and the zoo needs a better fence - to protect the animals.
Heard him on Greta. Jack knows his gorillas.
The first order of business should have been to clear all non-Zoo personnel out of the area. One thing witnesses, even the zoo director, can agree on is that the scene surrounding the incident as a ‘mess’ which quickly deteriorated with the gorilla becoming more aggressive as the clamor and screaming from the crowd grew in intensity. All bystanders did was aggravate the situation. They should have been forced to leave if they didnt self vacate.
Does he know who will win the SB next year...
Leftists are racists. They are outraged that Harambe was shot and killed to save a black child’s life.
I’ll bet most of the people demanding charges have never tried to raise a 4 year old themselves.
No matter how many laws you pass or fences you build accidents are still going to happen.
There is no such thing as idiot proof. There is only idiot resistant. The ingenuity of idiots knows no bounds.
I live here in Cincy and go to the zoo. While I agree there are no winners in this situation I will place blame squarely on the parents who were not supervising their children properly.
The gorilla has been in that enclosure for years with the same fence and THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of guests visit the gorillas during the year and this one kid all of a sudden is Houdini and can get through a barrier that no other kid has before. The kid tells the mother he wants to go in the water down in the gorilla habitat and she repeatedly tells him no, i would be keeping an eye on my kid who i keep saying no to.
All was well until the crowd started to get riled up and that turned the gorilla into a defensive posture.
I can only hope this family slinks away and is not heard from again. Its bad enough that the kid will have the stigma of him being responsible for the gorilla death. If the family comes out with some lawyer and threatens to sue the Zoo then things will get very ugly.
Just shoot the father. In this society they are considered pretty much useless anyways.
I think not but none of us will ever know for sure...
(Hillary: “What damn difference does it make now, anyway!?)...no, sorry, that’s insensitive of me here, I retract it
but Hillary’s made that remark so famous... it seems to come to mind a lot... how to get it, and HER, out of mind!??????_)
Male gorillas kill baby gorillas -— what makes anyone think a gorilla wouldn’t kill a child intruder into its territory?
Impact of Male Infanticide on the Social Structure of Mountain Gorillas

(You know, the kid was affecting their lifestyle, postpartum abortion, whatever.)
There is no need to bet your life, Jack.
The gorilla had to be killed in order to make sure the baby wasn’t hurt.
It’s as simple as that, and there’s no point in even discussing that part of this any further.
What I do think should be discussed is making the animal enclosure 100% people proof. Yes, I mean to say that we need to find a way to make sure that this never happens again, because it is a shame that the gorilla had to die. None of this was his fault.
I am mostly angry with the mother, and I am also angry with the zoo for not having a better system of safeguards.
There was no choice. They had to kill the gorilla. If that gorilla had killed the child, they would have closed the zoo. We can’t have that.
Anyone see Trump’s Press Conference this morning?
A Reporter from Yahoo (no, not perky Katie) asked Trump about the Gorilla and implied the Kid was being protected. Trump just said that things could have changed in a split second and the Authorities probably did what needed to be done.
I’m waiting for Bernie, Hillary or Obama to get the same question, but they don’t do Press Conferences. Wonder why?
bump
Jack Hannah heard from.
When do we hear from the other six billion people of Earth?
The same people weeping, getting angry and demanding justice for Harambe are the same ones yelling loudly in support for abortions at pro-choice rallies from end of the country to another.
They’re wild animals. Do not anthropomorphize them. They are NOT like us.
