Since 9/11 Terrorism has pushed down our throats. We are now afraid to kill them. Afraid of what Europe may say, afraid of what our own hippy idiots have to say. More people die in car wrecks every year than of any terrorism here. I say “let the poisons that lurk in the mud hatch out”.

The only logical response to 911 would've been to identify the problem, then solve the problem. The problems were (1) Saudi nationsals, (2) education visas allowing "students" who should not have been studying in the US, (3) people in the US illegally including overstaying visas and (4) absolutely no military vigilance of obvious targets.
NOTHING in GWB's response addressed the causes!
