Greetings from Boston where the Sabbath doesn't start for quite a while. I was not on the ground very much yesterday, and when I was, I was trying to deal with a lost suitcase....
Nasser al-Rashid, an adviser to the Saudi royal family and one of the richest men in Saudi Arabia, has emerged as one of the largest donors to the Clinton Foundation, and his family members have emerged as large donors to the Democratic party.
Nasser al-Rashid, one of Saudi Arabias wealthiest figures and an adviser to the countrys royal family, has donated somewhere between $1 million to $5 million to the Clinton Foundation, putting him in an elite category of prominent donors.
Al-Rashids childrenincluding one who pled guilty to assaulting his estranged wifehave poured almost $600,000 into Democratic coffers during the past several years, raising questions about influence peddling by prominent foreign families.
The controversy has already rippled through Floridas contentious race for a Democratic Senate seat and threatens to further entangle presidential contender Hillary Clinton, who has already faced questions about her close ties to foreign governments.
This raises a very simple question in my mindwhy is this family of one of Saudi Arabias richest billionaires and a key adviser to the royal family pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars into our political system to elect and influence these Democrats? asked Ian Prior, a longtime Republican political operative and current spokesman for the Senate Leadership Fund, which advocates the election of Republican candidates.
Nasser Ibrahim al-Rashid, the familys patriarch, is the founder and chairman of the Riyadh-based Rashid Engineering, making him one of the countrys top five wealthiest men.

Sickening. Wonder if Trump will fix this type of stuff?
Isn’t foreign money illegal?
I wonder what she has promised Saudi Araban royalty and I wonder how much of the money she is going to bribe the electronic election machine manufacturer’s with out of that money? Or whoever is going to tally the votes.
The Saudi royal family - - without billions of oil dollars to throw at American political whores - - have all the charm of a hungover Chicago Street gang Sunday morning...

Is it legal for a foreigner to donate to an American political party?
Isnt foreign money illegal?
I am not sure about Senate races, but for sure in Presidential campaigns. However, as the article shows, they (both sides here) are smarter than to violate the law so openly. The big donation was to the Clinton Foundation, an alleged charity which allegedly has nothing to do with the Clinton campaign. Maybe that is believable to a 5-year-old, but not to anyone else. To most of us, this is a not even a campaign contribution but a naked bribe, somewhat cleverly disguised as a gift to a charity...a “charity” that I would be willing to bet doesn’t meet the yearly requirements put forth by the IRS to maintain that status (and who expects that anything connected with Bill and Hillary would ever get audited?).
I hope that Trump’s Attorney General, Chris Christie, prosecutes all involved. It would go part way toward restoring faith in our government.
