The “Can’t find Pagliano’s DoS Emails” story is all about the State Department, which is stonewalling a FOIA request. The FBI well might have his emails, whether from the DoS system, the Hillary private server, or some other unofficial system. I bet State has not asked the FBI for whatever data it has, and that the FBI would hide behind “ongoing investigation” if they did.
It’s hard to see how Pagliano could have been employed by DoS for 4 years without him at least receiving emails to an official DoS address, even if only about mundane things, with all his Hillary traffic sent via secret systems. They have his emails, one way or the other, unless he went to a LOT of trouble to destroy not only his “pst” file, but those of everyone who sent him something.
The State Dept is continuing its practice of willful incompetence. Recently, new messages related to Hillary’s minions turned up two years after the initial fake search, when someone had the brilliant idea of searching the EMAIL ARCHIVE SYSTEM. Low and behold the messages had all been sent to archive Siberia just a few days before the official FOIA notices arrived, but the person who sent them “forgot” even when the regular search came up empty. Oops.

Pagliano was a political appointee hired at Hillary's request. He was working for both the State Department and privately for Hillary. All of his communications may have been done thru the private email server and a private email account.
There were only two emails found for Pagliano. One was a birthday greeing from Pagliano to Hillary.

The State Department announced Monday that the agency found no emails to or from Bryan Pagliano, Hillary Clinton's IT specialist, while Clinton was secretary of state.
However, an email already released by the State Department does show an email from Pagliano to Clinton at Clinton's clintonemail.com address, the email that Pagliano himself set up:
There may not have been any emails to delete from Pagliano's government account. And any deletions from the private server could have been ordered by Clinton. Why did Pagliano take the 5th? This may be the reason.
