I noticed that too.
“The pundit class (which includes Rush, Levin, National Review, etc) has a symbiotic relationship with the political class.”
Symbiotic, as in flies and poop.... in this case I’m having trouble figuring out which is which.
Rush said the GOPES hope to elect Hillary so they can run Ben Sasse in 2020.
That marks Ben Sasse as a Cheap Labor Express stooge.
Jeff Sessions, the last American patriot. I hope age doesn’t work against him.
Luv me some Jeff Sessions. The Best. And likely last. Just A-OK.
I think this is what we noticed about your self-proclaimed open mind:
“but he, like his wacko, foul-mouthed supporters, is a jackass”
Maybe you should vet your own posts before awarding yourself a medal for good behavior
It looked like there were two to ‘em - both with sunglasses and beards. A more normal human response to that type of situation would be for the young man to come forward... or attend the Trump rally, or show up on Hannity. The fact that he disappeared tells me your ‘potted plant’ theory is correct.
One thing I’ve enjoyed about conservatives is they don’t play the press for fools like democrats ALWAYS do. This ‘Cruz show’ knocks that idea down...
Apropos nothing:
Have you noticed the press has pivoted back to their ‘hate Republican’ positions? Guess they feel the primaries are over.
“Um, excuse me, champ, but I served my country for 20 years in the Air Force”
And that gives you the special privilege of launching ad hominem attacks on others here, correct (assuming you aren’t simply lying about your putative service record)?
Oh the irony.
“we’ll fire him”
How would you go about ‘firing’ him? I am simply curious. Impeachment of a known adulterer did not work the last time it was tried. Yeah, ol’ BJ.
Just my two cents, but I think the Lyin One was hoping for a (physical) smack down. A punch throw , a shove, heck, even a ball of spit hurled his way. He wanted the media coverage something like that “cause.”
Desperate times for Ted.
Well, I get tired of hearing that “X didn’t stop Trump” or “y didn’t stop Trump.” In this election year Trump may be unstoppable. He has a role in this too. He has run a pretty much flawless and incredibly frugal campaign.
The comical (or sinister) part of all this is the perfectly obvious fact that IF Cruz did stop Donald Trump somehow, there would be no way on earth that his new friends in the GOPe would nominate HIM.
Easy. By not re-electing him to a 2nd term.
Standard Cruz supporter response to "what states can he win that Romney lost?":
1) You hate Jesus
2) You hate America
3) You're a homo.
Most of them missed the "How to Win Friends and Influence People" session.
One of President Trump’s first actions should be giving the guy who stood and took the tongue lashing from Cruz yesterday some type of medal. I am not a violent person, but I must admit that I probably wouldn’t have been able to let him harp on me for that long without dropping my sign, grabbing him by the collar and giving him a scull cracking head-butt.
“Easy. By not re-electing him to a 2nd term.”
Oh, so that he can do four more years of damage in his 1st term if, in fact, he is not what he claims to be? ;-)
I do not know his true positions about anything. I do not think that anyone else does, either. I think that most people are hoping beyond hope. Likewise for Cruz. All politicians lie to get elected. We find out that they are scoundrels only after they are elected.
Don't forget the, not conservative proclamation.
I’ve been amused at how Rush has turned into a Cruz Champion. Just now I’m listening to Rush explain how Cruz is simply an “earnest politician” and how honest and how he just wants to save the country....etc.
Cruz saw some rough-around-the-edges pro-Trump guys and thought he’d show them the power of his superior intellect and gain a soundbite or two as these people saw the light of his God-given superiority.
Rush can’t stand that Cruz, in all his Senatorial Splendor, was made to look like a putz by guys who are probably engaged in politics for the first time in their lives.
Rush is mourning the loss of culture that he feels these people represent.
These guys held Ted Cruz in EXACTLY the esteem that he deserved - indeed it seems as this is the return of the feeling that Cruz communicates, intended or not, towards the great unwashed.
Ted, you aren’t equipped to go head-to-head in an insult match with practically any member of the salt-of-the-earth class. You didn’t have that class at Harvard. There was only one idiot on display in that interview from the perspective of the vast majority of people watching. Therein lies Ted Cruz’s problem in a nutshell.
Rush: I’m sorry Ted got his feelings hurt and feels frustrated that not everyone can understand Cruz is so very much smarter than any average Trump supporter.
It’s politics. Put some ice on it Ted.
