The price of arrogance.
Ordinarily I would not root for any business to fail, even one of my own competitors. But when a major corporation tells the vast majority of its customers f*** you in order to appease radical social activists, it would really be a shame if those insulted customers just kept shopping there and made the corporation pay no price for its arrogance. The early returns suggest Target customers are doing no such thing.
Breitbart reports that Target stock has fallen $2.65 per share since the infamous announcement that Target will let confused men into its ladies restrooms and dressing rooms, which amounts to an overall reduction of $1.5 billion in the value of the companys stock. I doubt thats a direct result of any revenue drop caused by people boycotting Target, even though 1 million people have signed online petitions saying they intend to do so. Boycotts are never effective for long because after awhile peoples anger subsides and they return to their normal day-to-day habits.
However, in this case I hope Target suffers tremendously for their bad decision. Not because I wish Target ill, but because I want other companies and entities to see what happens to them as a result of their bad decision and learn from their mistake.
And no, to you perpetually offended lib lurkers out there, that isn't because I have any particular animosity towards the "LGBT community" or whatever their PC moniker is these days. I really don't care - part of that live and let live thing. However, Target's decision re: bathrooms is open for abuse resulting in serious harm to innocents. Sorry LGBT, but your feelings and need for whatever kind of validation you're looking for do not trump others' safety.
So when I say I hope Target suffers greatly and others take note, it isn't really about Target, or LGBT, it is about not repeating bad and dangerous decisions.
Target promoted their CFO to CEO? The bean counters are in charge. Probably good for the bottom line short term, but long term not great for the Company. Business leadership isn’t just about the numbers.
My state rep to which Im new had only 1 campaign issue/theme:
Dont confuse me with gay. Im not gay. Im Queer.
Her opponent had only 1 issue/theme also:
Im endorsed by my pastor.
Special election. Vote was 668 to 464. 3.8% voter turnout. 30,100+ registered voters.
2 weeks after the special election was the Republican Primary with 3,000+ Republicans voting.... and, of course, 15,000+ Dems voting.
Why was there the expense of a special election rather than holding it at the same time as the Primary and the special election for a bond issue?
The power of the Queers to avoid the turnout of church goers for the Dem primary.
Plus, the stores are no where near as good as they once were.
With Amazon, when you need to go to the bathroom, you go in your own home.
ya...multi-tasking....
Target stock has lost $1.5 billion in value since letting ‘men’ tally ill in the ladies room.
Democrats are shaking the gay money tree.
When there an election they scare the gays into thinking they're endless victims about to be dragged back to pre-Stonewall days.. Yeah, right.
Democrats do the same with old people - tell them their social security is threatened...
And blacks that they'll be back in chains.
Do any of these Democrat groups ever figure out they're being played? Ever? Quick send CASH and LOTS OF IT. Or Republicans will ________________ (fill in the blank)
Oh yeah and women will lose the right to buy birth control and won't be able to abort a child.
And the world will heat up - or cool down - or give you bad breath if YOU don't send money to Hillary.
Clintons have been playing the fear card since their first election.Democrats are liars - almost everyone of 'em...
They had to have thought this would increase revenues.
Good!
I don’t understand their alphabet soup either (kind of like the government), to me it just means QUEER.
To the best of my knowledge, the Starbucks CEO has never retracted his statement that he doesn’t want the business of anyone who opposes gay marriage. I have obliged his wishes.
I called for a similar boycott against Coca Cola when Nathan Deal soled his sole to corporate Amerika and vetoed the religious freedom bill in Georgia and was almost laughed off the board.
Target has big problems besides letting men into the ladies bathrooms and fitting rooms. Truth be told there is nothing for sale at Target that you cannot buy for less money somewhere else.
Anybody else remember W. T. Grant?
Had to do some shopping yesterday, but avoided Target and went to True Value and Costco for the items normally purchased at Target. Good move morons.
