Look at these numbers:

NY CT DE MD PA RI
Rank 1 1 1 1 1 1
% 60% 59% 63% 57% 58% 65%
Votes 524,932 123,367 42,472 236,623 892,702 39,059

It was a blow out in the northeast the past two weeks! All Gold! Trump is going to be putting these states in play in the general election. Hillary and the Democrats won't have a chance there!

Will they? Step back and look at the bigger picture. Trump loving northeastern Republicans weren't the only ones voting. Hillary and Bernie voters, dispirited as we're told they are compared to the YUGELY motivated Trump voters, also went to the same polls at the same time. Lets compare:

NY CT DE MD PA RI
Rank 3 3 2 3 2 3
% 20% 23% 26% 19% 28% 22%
Trump 524,932 123,367 42,472 236,623 892,702 39,059
Clinton 1,054,083 170,075 55,950 533,247 918,689 66,720
Sanders 763,469 152,409 36,659 281,275 719,955 52,493
GOP% 32% 39% 42% 34% 48% 34%

The top table is just trompe l'oeil (or "Trump l'oeil"?), French for "deceive the eye. Trump's golds turn into a couple silvers and a pile of bronze. His faux impressive percentages don't reach 30% anywhere and don't even reach 25% in most of the NE. His vote numbers weren't impressive, they were big losers to either Hillary or Bernie And the GOP doesn't have a chance in any of these other than its always teasing heartbreak state of PA. The Donald will NOT be stealing any electoral votes from Hillary's solid northeast. Meanwhile across a large swatch of normally reliably GOP states the army of anti-Trumpers may lose him normally reliable GOP states. Rather than making Trump look good, these numbers prove the media theme than Hillary will schlong Trump in the general. That's not to say the numbers are encouraging to alternative GOP candidates, but at least they wouldn't have to defend traditional GOP territory nor would they be counting on any electoral votes from the past two week's primary territory. Their task would be difficult, but not impossible like Trump's.

These are closed primaries. Registered Dems far outnumber registered Reps. Independents and other potential voters can't participate. PA is definitely in play with Trump on the ticket. In each one of these races listed, Rep turnout set a record.

“Trump surged to 9.9 million votes ... That’s already more than 100,000 more than Romney earned in the entire 2012 primary season [or] John McCain earned in 2008. ... He’s positioned to easily pass the modern record-holder George W. Bush — who collected 10.8 million votes in 2000. ... [A]nti-Trump forces [are] attempting to thwart the candidate who is likely to win more Republican primary votes than any GOP contender in at least the last 36 years, and maybe ever.”

Trump won the battleground states of NV, NH, FL, MI, and PA by huge margins over his opponents. He came in second to Kasich in OH and beat Cruz by 460,000 votes. Those states won by Obama are now in play.

What Rep states is Trump putting in jeopardy? He swept the South except for TX. What states that Obama lost in 2012 will Hillary win?

That right there is the definition of Cruz spin. Cruz, who by the way, got 1/3 of the votes Trump did in all 6 of those states. He won't be in play in Florida or Ohio, states the GOP has to win to win the election. He would do worse than Romney.

That given, your claims are misleading, because they fail to recognize that there are voters who are not members of either party. You know, those "independents" that the GOPe consultants like Rove are always telling us they have to get, which is why they have to run guys like Romney and McCain. Well, those independents, in states where they get to vote, are voting overwhelmingly for Trump. There is no way to know for sure whether Trump can win NY or the other northeastern states, but what we do know, already, is that he puts them in play, and forces the Democrats to not take them for granted.

We also know he'll get Florida and sweep the south. Texas won't go Democrat. Utah won't go Democrat. Nebraska won't go Democrat. Not after they see Hillary, or whatever socialist the Dems put up, do their schtick.

Your entire premise is flawed, and designed to simply parrot a Cruz talking point in service of the election of Hillary.
