Donald Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski says, "Ted Cruz is going to be mathematically eliminated from securing 1,237 delegates by next Tuesday. If that's the case and everyone has the same goal, which is to put a Republican inside the White House...they should unite behind Donald Trump."

As long as either Trump or Cruz can manage to get the 1,237, I’ll be happy. A contested convention would not be good for the GOP.

Trump is not being careless about getting delegates!!! Trump has hired the pit bull of delegate getting!!!! Manafort’s results WILL be held VERY close to the vest!!! Trump NEVER will let his enemies know his battle plan and people who work for him are fiercely loyal, just as his supporters are fiercely loyal!!!! CA. will ve gravy where delegates are concerned !!!

Let's see if that pans out. I cannot imagine any excuse for losing Wyoming, but if Trump is happy with that loss, who am I to argue? I believe Trump will get a whole lot of delegates in NY, perhaps all. If he doesn't have 50% of the vote though, he will lose some districts where he didn't campaign. I don't like that. Similarly, with California, it looks like Trump is trying to win the statewide vote, and I approve. However, I'd also like to see a more concerted effort to win each congressional district in CA, just in case.

I cannot take this as casually as you are. I don't have as much confidence in Trump's political abilities as you do. To me, if Trump doesn't get to 1237 delegates for the first round ballot, (1) that's Trump's fault, and he deserved to lose, and (2) the outcome will be the most catastrophic event in American history, worse even than Obama taking power eight years ago. Considering the catastrophic national cost of a Kasich nomination and the inevitable Hillary victory over one of the rare politicians with less charisma than Romney, I cannot take Trump's attitude toward winning under the rules in effect so casually.

If Ted doesn’t win the cheap labor express will settle for Hillary very comfortably. Remember the Bushes apparently made a deal with Hillary after the 2004 Pacific tsunami when Bush and Bill Clinton started a foundation for the tsunami victims which was supposed to be a signal that Hillary would be the next president followed by Jeb. But unfortunately for the Bushes George Soros had other ideas and Obama was promoted as the president. If Hillary wins this time the presidency will he handed to Jeb next time—he is still a young man.

Even if millions of more voters have voted for Trump? You do not respect your fellow Americans and you do not respect me. I voted for Trump and I would not do anything to subvert Cruz even though I do not like him at all.

bumping:

“My goal is to put a conservative in the White House.”

I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100’s of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

” Ted Cruz is everything that is wrong with the political system. A fake and a fraud who’s a career lawyer and politician, a theorist who’s never worked a day in the real world.

That he spouts the conservative mantra from time to time only makes him a huckster using conservatives for his own gain.

A truly detestable man. “

Rinse & repeat!

Delusional. The 1237 rule was put in for the last election. Your rules mean nothing since you make them up at will.
You will play by the majority rules or you can get out and form the loyalist party.
Think you can over rule the majority? Try it and see what happens.

Cruzers believe the OPPOSITE of everything JR has said in this epic post of his. The opposite of this is Globalism. Ted and Heidi are Globalists. The Cruzers on FR are still waiting for the “raising of the priests,” the NORTH AMERICAN UNION, where it doesn’t matter if you’re Canadian with no American values. They guy who is going to give us TPA and TPP, open borders and unlimited immigration, Ted The Snake Handler Cruz. Another foreign born, Manchurian stealth candidate with sealed documents and commie sketchy father. Amazing.

Besides y’all have no trouble trashing California.

Oh my, California? I love a lot of people in California. A lot of them moved to Texas. Come on down! We have fruits and nuts here, too, so you will feel at home. Head for Austin. : )

I respect the fact that you voted for Trump. And I hope you respect the fact that I voted for Cruz. We each are pulling for the candidate of our choice. Nothing wrong with that. And nothing has been decided yet. No one is "subverting" anybody by preferring the other candidate. You don't like Cruz at all. I can't stand Trump. Oh well.

You are right. Most voters hate to waste their vote. They like to vote for a winner.

On April 26th we need to start the hashtag #TedGTFO :-)

How did you feel about Chalton Heston?

He did a lot of good work for the NRA back in the late 1990s and early 2000’s

Kind of a similar path to pro-gun side with him and the Trumpunator

Trump is not a Republican as shown by his .../... current support for planned parenthood.

A little slow on the comprehension I see. Trump said he could support Planned Parenthood if they stopped doping abortions. I could support them as well if that were the case. If PP didn't do abortions, but truly became a women's health organization, why not support them?

@61: "Trump will go to the convention with nearly Three million more votes than Teddy....Steal the nomination, and reap the whirlwind."

You did learn in school, didn't you, that in the party's convention to nominate a presidential candidate—and even in the president elections—the established rules do not always require that the person with the most popular votes wins.

I don’t WANT Trump to have ALL of these political abilities, that is EXACTLY why I support him!!!! He has hired the right people and they WILL work hard to earn what he pays them, BUT they WILL succeed!!! Trump does NOT waste money, he brought VERY EXPENSIVE team members on board when he thought the time was right!!! If Manafort thought for a minute he could not do the job he would have declined, his impeccable reputation is on the line, Trump also DEMANDS loyalty nothing WILL be leaked EVERYTHING will be held VERY close to the vest and BOOM, GOPe won’t know what the hell hit them!!!!

You, apparently, are under the delusional impression that I make any of the rules. I simply see the world as it is, not as you want it to be.

Has Trump won the majority of votes? No.

Does Trump have the majority of the delegates? Not yet.

If he gets them, he wins. That will be reality.

If he doesn’t, my point stands.
