It’s not difficult at all. Trump supporters hate to discuss Trump’s Donnie-come-lately conversion to conservatism, or his GOPe style big government solutions to every problem. So they deflect the conversation.

“Donald is rich.” That’s a popular one.
“Donald has a beautiful wife”. OK
“Donald is filling stadiums”. About as relevant as the first two in determining whether Donald is a limited government conservative at the core.

If Donald was my candidate I would try to deflect the conversation to trivialities as well.

I kinda like Jim Robinson's explicit definition of Trump's brand, as shown in post #153.

Something in there you don't like?

********************************************************

1. I was addressing specifically the point the poster made about filling stadiums. It was not about Trump. Can you read?

2. I have heard Trump talk, over a period of about thirty years, about various subjects, such as trade agreements, American decline. He has not changed his talk at all. There is a Oprah interview of him made in 1988 on You Tube. You can check that out. Except for his youthful appearance, he could have made that talk yesterday.

3. “Donald is rich” is not used as a qualification for the presidency that I have ever seen on this site.

4. Same goes for his beautiful wife.

5. Trump’s ability to fill stadiums is a key factor to notice, since Cruz cannot. He has been credited with record voter turn out this election cycle.

6. Cruz’s voting records and position stances show him to be a globalist. There is nothing in TPA that limits government. There is nothing conservative in voting for the Corker bill. There is nothing conservative in calling for a 500% increase in H1-B visas, for calling for an increase in immigration, for saying that our immigration system is broken, etc.

7. All in all, you are the one deflecting the conversation. Maybe you can explain to us all why Cruz refuses to release his U.S. citizenship verification documents. As the expression has it, when you are trying to hide something, you have something to hide.

8. Now we can all wait for you to respond, by way of answer, with another attack on Trump supporters.
