Trump says some good things. He also says a lot of things that should scare the hell out of conservatives.

Many of us question Trump’s commitment to small government, individual freedom, and the Constitution. It’s because of his support for Democrats and Democrat positions WHEN HE WAS IN HIS MID-FIFTIES, and age when most us have core principals that are well formed.

If Trump was the only option for conservatives this year, I might consider him - but there is a much better option in Ted Cruz.

The thing that worries me most about Trump and his supporters is their blind passion to destroy Cruz - a good man who has a lifelong commitment to the things conservatives believe in. There is no need to destroy Cruz, if Trump is truly a conservative. Cruz could become Trump’s VP, or at least a steadfast conservative voice in the Senate that could could help push Trump’s conservative agenda - if Trump sticks to his promises.

So why is it so important for Trump to destroy Cruz? It’s because Cruz, a true conservative, offers such a bright contrast to “nationalist” Trump. Being a “nationalist” allows Trump to offer big government solutions while still claiming to be for the constitution and middle class Americans.

I always have problem believing rich people who claim to be for the little guy. Trump appears to be next in line of a series of rich political reformers from NYC - the Roosevelts, the Rockefellers, and Bloomberg. Conservatives have good reason to be cautious about Trump given his chameleon-like political history.

Did you know Ted began planning his Iowa campaign minutes after getting elected. I think he should have told voters in Texas that he wasn't going to D.C. to represent them, but going to further his political career.

I was talking about his speech on the senate floor where he said McConnel lied to him when he asked about Ex-im bank reauthorization.

So you look at one person and say, in effect, ‘You all’?

Does this individual have multiple personalities?

If the term has a regionalized usage in TX, that’s your affair. Just don’t ask the Deep South to follow suit.

It was a loan, buckonious— a loan.

Ya’ think maybe TRUMP couldn’t pay it back, or something? LOL!

Because you inherited squat doesn’t mean that a million in a loan from dad, in NYC, meant much. It just didn’t. Sorry.

Dad was small potatoes in Queens. Donald J. was scrapping with the hounds of NYC, who thought him an outsider.

Beat that, or grouse about it.

My opinion of Puritans, Crubots or otherwise, who have always been 99.5% "do as I say not as I do" types, is right in your tag line.

Viva Cristo Rey

I don't see a massive Puritan uprising up to resist Barry destroying their First Amendment freedom of religion although many a dollar is made shilling about threats to the Second Amendment, do you?

Regards

Both Cruz and Kasich no longer talk about issues, or how they would solve any problems. Cruz, Kasich, and their supporters seem to have one message: Anything against Trump. Not a surprise to me both have lost the voters.

Okay, okay, I give up on logic and common sense. You win. Find a candidate who cannot gather a crowd and vote him in. Good luck.

So why is it so important for Trump to destroy Cruz?

Well, if you check the timeline, Trump only goes after those who attack him first. For quite a while, because they were seemingly getting along, many of us assumed there may be a Trump/Cruz VP alliance. (much to my dismay)

Any other high position (Supreme Court) would have been great, until Cruz screwed that up.

Trump is destroying Cruz because of Cruz's attacks.

My initial and main objection to Cruz was that he's a Cubanadian.

Cruz is playing the role of the turd in the punch bowl, deluding the gullible to join the evil in the destruction of America.

No, actually....that is more aptly Donald Trump's role...the proverbial spoiler/turd in the punchbowl, the pee in the Wheaties, the usurper "from within" the party that he has demeaned, accused and run against for most of his liberal life until that "magical year" 2012.

or that he was naturalized when his father became a US
Citizen, in order to get the passport.

*************

Cruz went to England in 1986 with a high school class trip.
Thus he would have had to have a passport back then.

DT is not conservative in any way shape or form in social conservatism

This election is not about liberal/conservative. It is about the survival of the nation. Nation state vrs globalism.

The only issues that matters this election cycle is immigration. If we do not fix our illegals problem in the next four years we will lose the country to the globalists. Give the Marxists Rats millions and millions of new voters and you can kiss American conservationism good-bye, our Constitution will be voided and thrown on the ash heap of history.

Only Trump will solve the problem, Lying Ted Cruz is a globalist, married to a globalist and funded by globalists.

Just like Cruz, he is not.

However (just like most FReepers) Trump is.
