A lot of jokes have been made about what's become of the statue. The truth is, only a very few people know. Emotions still run high and there is a very real danger that the deranged lynch mob that thinks Paterno had something to do with Sandusky's crimes would vandalize or attempt to destroy the statue if they knew where it was. Onward State originally ran the story on April 1st. Most people did not notice the date, and outsiders do not know how widely despised Erickson is for his scapegoating and other mishandling of the entire affair.

Yeah, I know I live just a couple miles from happy valley, I know how the area feels about JoePa. I feel the same, he was a great man, great coach, and a great role model.
