While speaking to a crowd and referring to notes in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Trump strangely asked hows Joe Paterno? And even mentioned bringing him back.

True, I personally think he was mentioning JoePa directly, not the statue. I just would like to add to the discussion, this statement could cost Donald the vote in PA. Penn Stater’s are very touchy about JoePa, and for good reason. He was one of the greatest coaches and men in college football, and his ignomious end is what the world decided he deserved.
Trump sometimes doesn’t finish sentences —just implying the rest of the thought. Didn’t he really mean bring back the Joe Paterno statue that was removed?
He asked how Joe was doing. Sound like he is talking about a statue?
Who the heck gives him his speaking notes? People really ought to check this out before speaking.
Natty to invoke your dad for political shilling. Very nasty indeed.
Oh, please...he was talking about the statue. This is a RedState.
They wouldn’t know that, as they likely didn’t watch the rally.
They’re so deeply embedded in their TedState stupor, they didn’t stop to find out what Trump was actually referring to/talking about.
They don’t let facts get in the way of a big drink of cRuz Aid.
“11 elections in 4 states”, weird but maybe districts? I haven’t checked.
Realize it is unfamiliar to Cruzers, but Trump often uses humor in his rally talks. Don’t worry about it.
senility
They are referencing another source.
Why would Trump ask how the statue was doing? Trump said “ How’s Joe doing?”
I bet there were more than Ted 1,000 at his rally
He also lies, exaggerates and insults people alot.
Such a wonderful role model.
Trump will bring Joe Pa back! And make Mexico pay for it.
Can’t wait for Trump to ask Californians who Reagan is doing.
The statue has not been melted down. You are the victim of an April Fool’s joke made by the Penn State Alumni Association at the expense of the much despised former president Rodney A. Erickson.
All right, you underestimate the Penn State effect, if this gets the steam I think it could Donald will be toast. Penn Stater’s with in the years since have voted every single sitting board of trustee member, who came up for reelection out of office. They have run six or seven hundred candidates every single year for the board of trustees, just to get rid of them, their goal is to replace every single one of them.
Now think what that kind of energy would do motivated against Trump in PA, I am not saying that Cruz would win. I am saying that Trump would lose.
So, you think Trump asked how the statue was doing. And you feel good about his cognitive skills?
Actually, State College may be bringing Paterno back; his statue that is.
