TRUMP: Corporate Tax Will Pay for TrumpCare RONALD REAGAN: 'Deliberately Dishonest'
Reaganite Republican ^ | 11 April 2016 | Reaganite Republican

Trump 2012 on how we'll be paying for his massive,
far-to-the-left-of-Obama, BIG-government HC plan:

But much like the Mexicans 'paying for the wall', all such taxes and levies will eventually fall in the lap of the American consumer
-there's no such thing as a free ride, as some confidence trickster might propose to you.

The Gipper knew that better than anybody... a lesson lost on much of today's detached-from-logic 'alt/right' conservatives:
'The most dangerous myth is the demagoguery that business can be made to pay a larger share, thus relieving the individual.

Politicians preaching this are either deliberately dishonest, or economically illiterate, and either one should scare us...
Only people pay taxes, and people pay as consumers every tax that is assessed against a business.'
And of course any such tax would be a disaster for jobs right from the start- the United States already has the highest corporate taxes on Earth

Another date was 2000, iirc.

So, you support all comments by all candidates up to 10 years old to be the true explanation of their real opinions. Do I have that correct?

I’m not looking to pick a fight. I was just pointing out to you that these were past quotes from Trump and not lies as you were suggesting. You just now admitted it yourself, so that’s the end of the conversation.

Anything that suggests Trump supports government run health care for everyone or that the government should be taxing corporations more is the deliberately dishonest comment.

Actually, the above is what I said. I said it is dishonest to suggest that Trump SUPPORTS government run health care.

Also, in my post at #5, I pointed out that Trump's plans on taxes and healthcare were on his website.

So, it IS dishonest for someone to suggest that what Trump said years ago when not even running for office and after a conversion to conservatism is what Trump's CURRENT plan is.

Our conversation was not over. It can be now, if you'd like.

I would like to know if you believe ALL CANDIDATES should be held to the standard that any old comment they have made should be viewed as their actual current policy.

No, people can change their minds. But if you think I’m picking on Trump, I’m not. I’m just pointing out that quoting what a person actually said is not really deceptive, especially just four years ago. If he has a better plan now, great!

The Trump Wall is said to cost Ten Billion.

Obama passed a Trillion Dollar Stimulus. The Republican Congress just signed a Budget Deal with Obama that will raise the National Debt another Two Trillion Dollars by the end of 2018.

Ten Billion is a rounding error compared to that. Why isn’t that being discussed? Talk about a colossal waste of Taxpayer, or should I say Chinese Money.

Besides, didn’t Congress pass funding for a Border Fence / Wall years ago? What happened to that?

So you support the welfare state model and you are just arguing the level.

Because I believe we don’t need a welfare state?

Because I don't believe in a welfare state?

no, because you argue that charitable donations solve the dilemma of choosing between some form of healthcare welfare and the rationing of healthcare.

The fact is, I think you support death panels (or something like it) but you only support them for poor people apparently and you curtain your support for this position with a false argument.

A more reasonable argument would be to mandate that everyone receiving taxpayer funded healthcare benefits must maintain a healthcare savings account which must be used for routine healthcare services and which must maintain a minimum balance at all times. This would eliminate much of the fraud, waste and abuse that is bankrupting the system.

mandatory fines for documented abuse of the emergency room/response system would also help.

rewriting HIPAA to protect doctors and nurses that report drug seekers and narcotics overdoses to the police would help.

Rewriting the medicaid reimbursement rules so that system abusers would not be allowed to impact reimbursement rates would also be nice.

Rewriting EMTALA so that non-emergencies wouldn't impact reimbursement rates would also be helpful.

And of course, drug testing should be mandatory for anyone who receives taxpayer funded welfare.

And those effing EBT cards need to be replaced with food stamps again so the tax payers can see the fraud, waste, and abuse that is going on in the super market checkout line once again.

These are examples of intellectually honest solutions.

You would be totally wrong about what I think. I think the government should be out of the medical services business completely.

You, like statists, want the government there but want to argue the level of involvement. Argue that with them.
