Your post was condescending and loaded with lots of remarks that ignored lifetime republican party members and delegates who were wrongly left off lists of delegates and who are Trump supporters.

You may be a low-information participant that is genuinely concerned but has a limited view of the bigger picture.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt. Here’s what is happening and why it is a concern:

I know of one longstanding republican delegate who put his delegate candidacy application in before an April deadline. He showed up at his delegate convention and was not on the list. He had attended his precinct caucus on Feb 20 and showed support for Trump. He has been a delegate in the past but this year he was not on the list. He is mad as hell and is going to raise hell at the statewide convention next month. He is also looking at legal action against the State GOP because he has witnesses of the fax he sent them for his delegate application.

Now your error is in thinking that all Trump supporters are inexperienced newcomers to the process. That is wrong. There are many many seasoned hands that are for Trump and some that I know and have heard of are ready to rip limbs out over the shenanigans of those controlling list content.

Most delegate listmakers are GOPe insiders. Those that receive the lists to use at the county conventions are unaware that the lists are rigged. But those making the lists know what they are doing.

You saw a couple of newcomers at the Trump table, YOU MADE THE GENERALIZATION that all Trump supporters are the same. That is not a valid generalization. There is a very large group of longtime republicans who support Trump and who know the process as well as anyone. A few data points in sparse regions do not make for a nationwide problem. That’s where you’re off.

If the Trump campaign did not pay attention to your state, that’s because their delegate map did not count it so much for the path to 1237+. They will reach 1237 easily despite what the media says and despite what your state is doing.

The Trump campaign is now hunkering down on winning delegates as part of their longtime strategy. States like NY, CT, RI, DE, MD, PA for this month, and CA in June. Their target is 1400 delegates if they do “pretty well”, not amazing but “pretty well”. They have some of the best delegate mathematicians in the business, individuals with over 40 years in politics. They know which districts to target, which ones to bypass and they know where the 323 unbound delegates will be. When they do the map against all the state rules and processes, they know just how to set their path.

Your observations were likely in a patch they decided to bypass.

NOW,

the reason there is concern over delegates for Cruz is because there is talk of Cruz-Romney delegates angling for the Rules Committee. More on this below.

I say Cruz-Romney because Romney is the mastermind here, not Cruz. Romney is the de facto head of the Party as he was the last nominee and he inherited the apparatus and retains it because he brings the money. The money comes from Romney’s cronies and also from foreigners like Mexico. You can thank Citizens-United that you are not privy to this information. You along with millions of other Americans were snookered and in any case are a victim of the Law of Unintended Consequences.

When the Rules Committee meets, Cruz-Romney are talking about changing the rules to allow delegates to vote their conscience and effectively unbind all delegates. In other words, allow DEFECTIONS before the 1st ballot.

They are going to run a con-job with a fight breaking out on the convention floor, delegates defecting to Cruz, and then the RNC stepping in to calm things down even though the plan originated with persons in the RNC. The RNC will appear to remain ABOVE THE FRAY and will call for a runoff vote between Trump and Cruz, and possibly others, but all the delegates will be unbound because they will say rules are rules and the rules were made by delegates that were elected by grassroots voters. Yeah, right.

The RNC will make statements to the press that although Trump won most delegates before the 1st ballot, he only received 37% of the votes and the grass roots wanted all delegates unbound so that the other 63% of voters could be represented. That is what they will be doing; totally unfair and unprecedented.

This is why the Trump campaign is so concerned about what Cruz is doing, and is furious at the dishonesty that is being utilized in getting Cruz delegates in a position to break out at the Convention.

Cruz-Romney can do the delegate math too and they know very well that Trump will very likely exceed 1237. They know that. But they are investing all their time on shenanigans to deny Trump. Romney does not care that the GOP will lose in November. Several of Romney’s surrogates, for example, Lindsey Graham have voiced publicly that it would be better to have Hillary win than allow Trump to be in the White House.

So when they hatch their defections scheme, they don’t care about the fallout in the general.

You have no idea of the forces both domestic and international that are behind Romney. He is not an America first person. He is an internationalist, a North American Union supporter. He does not care, and the people he does international business with, do not care if Hillary is the winner.

Donald Trump Jr. was very clear in his tweet that the reason the entire political establishment is so against his father is because they have a very cozy arrangement where they all make money together without doing anything to earn it, but that when his father is sworn in, IT ALL ENDS FOR THESE CRONIES TIED TO THE ESTABLISHMENT.

So go on and do your best at your level to get people prepared with Robert’s Rules of Order and such, it probably won’t matter much as the fix is in.

What you can do is get an affidavit from each Cruz delegate in a Trump slot, that they swear they will not defect on the 1st ballot, that they will vote for Trump on the 1st ballot and no one else. They may not answer you directly at first because they will sidetrack to talk about state law that says they are bound on the 1st ballot. What you must do on the affidavit is get them to swear they will not allow themselves to vote against Trump EVEN IF THE NATIONAL CONVENTION RULES ARE CHANGED allowing them to become unbound before the 1st ballot.

You can research whether Cruz delegates in Trump delegate slots, can be prosecuted in their states for violating state election laws that mandate they are bound on the 1st ballot. Understand that the National GOP is legally like a private club in that they make their own rules and state rules don’t matter inside their club. But research whether violations of state law are still prosecutable. There’s a reason why there are laws and rules for binding delegates on the 1st ballot. It’s to prevent bribery from buying off delegates.

I hope I’ve given you a larger picture of what’s at stake. I wish you luck.
