Trump just got BAD news, could COST him nomination(Allen West's blog)
Allen West's blog ^ | April 8, 2016 | Michelle Jesse

While Donald Trump continues to lead in delegate count, this week has not been his in terms of momentum. The GOP frontrunner was handed a resounding defeat in Wisconsin, where rival Ted Cruz beat him 48.2% to 35.1%. Now all eyes have turned to New York, the next primary in the nominating contest, with 95 delegates at stake — where Trump currently enjoys a commanding 56% to 22% lead over Cruz in the latest poll.

But even before the New York primary in a couple weeks, Trump may be precluded from reaching the required 1,237 delegates before the Republican National Convention, given what’s rather quietly happening in Colorado as we speak. As The Washington Post wrote of the Colorado delegates:

But if the Republican presidential race between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz is decided by just a handful of delegates, what happens in Colorado this weekend might matter most of all.

Nate Silver goes so far as to suggest that if Trump gets shut out in Colorado this weekend, he will definitely fall short of the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the nomination before the convention. And that, of course, would leave him vulnerable to the workings of the GOP convention, which many — including Trump supporters — fear could quash his chances of walking away as the nominee.

Many observers — and the Trump campaign itself — don’t expect Trump to do well in Colorado.

Based on what happened in the first two district contests, it is expected that Ted Cruz will sweep the 34 Colorado delegates being selected at the district and state assemblies. The remaining three delegates are the members of the Republican National Committee from Colorado and can remain unbound.

As of Friday afternoon, Cruz has dominated the first five contests in Colorado, while Trump and Kasich remain empty-handed. While neither candidate will make the trip to Colorado this weekend, both Trump and Kasich are putting more focus on the state convention’s weekend proceedings, in an attempt to nab some delegates before it’s over.

While this contest is likely to garner a small fraction of the coverage the upcoming New York primary will get, it’s on its way to quietly tipping the scales further toward a contested convention.

More prepared? He’s never been an outsider - but is quite entrenched in the Bush family. He worked on the 2000 count in FL - which by the way, Al Gore really won. He has the nastiest, sleaziest people working for him - and it isn’t being prepared at all, but, they know how to steal. It’s good to see that you uphold lying, cheating and stealing. May God forgive you - because you are complicit in his sins.

RE:”What’s the deal with Allen West selling his name to generic Republican bloggers? What’s the general law on that. I’m not saying there is anything wrong I’m curious what the law is and what the payday is.”

I was wondering how long it would take, my recent comment: :

At least this thread wasn't attacked by accusing Allen West of being a GOPe.
You never know in these days.

That’s correct I think

Colors is delegates are chosen by party establishment which means Trump will be shut out

Party establishment fill delegate slates largely in all states and usually in the GOP they are bound first ballot

After that they will vote where the party tells them to or they are bribed to

CRUZ IS NOT DOING SHIT MUCH ACTUALLY

THIS IS JUST YET ANOTHER NARRATIVE PIMPED BY BOTH THE LEFT WING MEDIA AND NEVER TRUMP ORGS AND GOP AND THEIR BITCHES ON THE FORUM

ESTABLISH A NEW NARRATIVE ABOUT CRUZ VAUNTED GROUND GAME AND HOW HE DESERVES IT EVEN IF HE DID GET 40-50% LESS VOTES THAN TRUMP WHEN ITS ALL SAID AND DONE

I SMELL THAT SEA ISLAND MEET ALL OVER THIS STRATEGY FROM WISCONSIN ONWARDS

ITS A TACTIC TO SET A JUSTIFICATION TO STEAL IT FROM TRUMP IF HE FALLS SHORT BY WHATEVER AMOUNT

IN A REGULAR YEAR A SANTORUM OR NEWT OR HUCKABEE WOULD HAVE LEFT EVEN IF THE LEADER WERE NOT YET AT 1237

Isn’t it great how they fight to keep their power and nothing else

I will not support them

And nor will many others

I think what it means is that gaming the system is okay.

We saw this ethic on a national scale during the housing bubble. All of the people who got wiped out were told it’s their own fault for not knowing the fine print.

This sort of behavior used to enrage Americans. Kids growing up had a belief in fair play, ‘truth, justice and the American way’.

We are now encountering a people who don’t share that belief, but who instead live like shyster lawyers.

Where are all these great people he knows that will be supporting him when he runs the country? Do they not know how to run a campaign?

Will they know foreign policy and laws? When will they learn?

He’s been talking about running for 30 years, isn’t that long enough to do a little reading outside of time mag or the 5 newspapers he reads?

Yup, he was serious about running alright.

For the past 200+ years, American presidential elections have been won by delegates. These ARE the rules. As a Freeper, you don't need an explanation of how a republican form of government is superior to pure democracy.

The states are free to choose how their delegates are selected. Ted Cruz understands this. Donald Trump doesn't. Nothing was “robbed”. Trump is losing delegates due to his incompetency and lack of preparation.

Mr. Deal Maker is not the wheeler-dealer that he makes himself out to be.

It is DISGUSTING that Cruz is using machinations, to scoop up delegates which Trump rightfully should have.

What claim, exactly, does Trump have on any Colorado delegates?

Evidently, he made no effort to earn any Colorado delegates. Is there any reason they should've "rightfully" fallen at his feet and pledged obeisance?

“Kids growing up had a belief in fair play, ‘truth, justice and the American way’”.

When I was a teen, I joined a club that was run by a nerd that had memorized “Robert’s Rules of Order”. At every meeting, anyone that objected to his wishes was shut up, yet when we tried to shut him down, he had a rule of “personal privilege” or some other rabbit he pulled out of a hat.

The club lasted a couple of meetings and everyone split. To this day I remember the smug look on his face as he used his knowledge of the rules to bring down the house around him.

The entrenched party leaders changed "the rules" so that Trump would not win. They shut the people of Colorado completely out of the process of selecting the GOP nominee.

The GOP executive committee has voted to cancel the traditional presidential preference poll after the national party changed its rules to require a state's delegates to support the candidate that wins the caucus vote.

That is called playing dirty.

I agree. Trump has done remarkably well up until recently with his unconventional campaign. But now the nomination process has reached the stage where the party hacks take over. This is the stage where the party has designed the process to insure that no outsider gets the nomination. As Lindsey Graham said, they had to pick between two people they hated. They picked Cruz mainly because he was for sale and the other reason being the Iraq war which they wont admit was a huge mistake.

Seriously?? There is currently another thread up that gives some details of the way it went down that perhaps you should read. The Cruz campaign put a team together over several months to work to bring in these type of delegates but Team Trump was late to the party, then fired their state organizer a week or so ago, and then screwed up the slate of delegate candidates they submitted!

This process is nothing new, although Trump wants everyone to think it is, and that it is totally unfair to his millions of supporters that he has to continue to fight for the nomination per his latest tweet.

What I find disappointing is that one of the main themes in America is that the little guy has to follow the “rules” while those with money and power do not, and Trump’s constant complaining about the rules is evidence that in his case he is proof positive that rules are only for the little people, but his supporters not only buy into sales pitch but add fuel to his fire keep fighting the establishment.

Update : Sounds like the disorganized Trump let Cruz sweep up all the delegates

Sounds more like Cruz's locusts decided that it matters not whop gets the votes as long as they can manipulate and re-tabulate the votes in their favor - what country does that make us????

Obviously there are multiple ways to get delegates. There is no such thing as “winner takes all” primaries, and why Trump keeps up his charade of being cheated and again his supporters buy into it is astounding.

If this were a baseball game and Trump was your teams superstar, would anyone seriously support his argument that he should get more than 3 sttikes, or make the other teams pitchers throw underhanded pitches because it’s not fair he should face a 95mph fastballs?

“Yes, but Trump is a street fighter and should have know better”

I haven’t heard the fat lady singing!!!

Trump is strategic. He will make adjustments and keep adjusting. He’s far better than a street fighter. He’s unpredictable, devious, cunning, and wealthy. I don’t like Trump but can see his abilities.

Trump may not be the smartest guy, but he is smart enough to get smart people around him. He makes good use of resources and is a student of human nature.

Trump will set up his war room and do battle. Cruz had better be looking over his shoulder 24/7.
