Thanks for helping me make my point about people basically not knowing squat about Russia. The info I've been providing isn't only in regards to his KGB/FSB days. It's also about the evil things he's done as the Russian leader, such as threatening and actually invading his neighbors, supplying arms and support for hostile leftist regimes in Latin America. His plans to restore the Soviet Union, or something similar to it. His desire to open up new military bases in Cuba. Russia's closer than ever military alliance with the ChiComs, conducting annual joint war games with them for the past 10 years, in preparation for war with US and our allies. Him likely being behind numerous assassinations of political opponents (of his), etc, etc.
All that plus dopey Trump thinking he's someone to be admired and trusted. Actually, I am increasingly suspecting that Trump is not so much dopey, but rather in cahoots with Putin in his plan to restore Russia as a major competing superpower. Trump, at best, is a potentially dangerous buffoon. At worst, a real snake in the grass.
