The Ted Cruz sex scandal may be nothing of the sort, some journalists are beginning to say after the seemingly bombshell story hit the news this week.
On Friday, the National Enquirer reported that Cruz had been something of a ladies man in Washington, with five different mistresses. It appeared to be a major story, especially given Cruz's strong Christian faith and his seemingly strong morals.
But there very quickly appeared to be cracks in the story, and now many journalists are going on record to raise doubts that any of it might be true. The most immediate denials came from two of the women identified in the story, Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson and CNN contributor Amanda Carpenter.
Carpenter, who was put on the spot by Trump surrogate Adriana Cohen during a live interview, was particularly vehement in her denial....

She never denied it. She just said it would be addressed her lawyer. Her sister in law says its true. And then there are the matching tattoos and her frolicking in his suit jacket.

Carpenter is the one who got the tattoo with Cruz early one Tuesday morning, I think April 1, 2012? At 5:30 am she tweeted for everyone to watch Cruz on some show later in the day because Cruz was in a really good mood. Then at 11 she tweeted the pic of the tattoo that someone had to have put on her shoulder, and she’s wearing a man’s jacket. Cruz on that tv show is jacket-less.
And in one tweet she uses the hashtag #daddycruz.
And some are posting pics of her little kids, pointing out the resemblance of them to Cruz. I have no idea what her husband looks like.
Unfortunately, a lot of folks just stubbornly want to believe that Trump was involved, and no amount of reasoning will ever change their minds. Very sad.
As I've gotten older, I've gotten better at detecting when someone is in denial. And when that's the case, it's best to just move on and not waste your time or words trying to convince them of anything.
Of course, we all go into denial at times, so it's not like I haven't ever been there myself. But sadly, some folks never seem to come out of it. :(

The matching tattoos, and the man’s jacket, and her early morning comment on Cruz’s mood are suspicious. The fact that she tried to delete that stuff is suspicious.
But the main reason that I lean toward believing that this stuff might be true boils down to Cruz’s vote on the Corker Bill.
That one thing tells me he’s a total fraud. No constitutional conservative would have ever voted for that.
He is one who advances the agenda while advancing himself by pretending he’s against the agenda. That’s the MO of the GOP of which he is a member, and that is what he is doing.
I don’t trust him.
That being said, the GOP is currently using him to achieve their goal of a brokered convention, and this scandal, true or not, likely damages him enough to prevent his getting 1237, and also from winning on second ballot.
I think that it is human nature to not want to see the bad side of those we love and those that we have invested ourselves in.
I don’t know that I can convince people to agree with my take on this. My take could well be wrong too.
But I think a shady game is being played here to achieve the goal the GOP wants.
They are in charge of the machinery. They are just letting us use it.
How dare we tell them how it’s going to be?
This is war, and the GOP doesn’t want to lose to us.

WHY did Carpenter get the same FAKE tattoo of Winston Churchill, on the SAME DAY as Ted got his, post it on Twitter, with the words :”I JUST HAD TOO” ?
No, not credible at all. Her expression when she stated 'lawyer' -looked like a person that was trying way to hard. Cruz was diddlin' her. At this point that's what I think.

Yes it is called voter suppression. Team GOPe1 (Rubio) smears Cruz and team GOPe2 (Cruz) blames Trump for the smear. End game is a brokered convention where a GOPe3/Cruz ticket gets nominated.
Hmm, yeah... this whole “Cruz is a philanderer” doesn’t pass the sniff test for me. It’s also none of my business.
And I don’t think Trump planted the story either.
No he doesn't. But then it doesn't matter since it was Team Rubio that has been teasing the story for at least a few weeks, starting with Rubio's SuperPac on Twitter posting those photos of Cruz with a woman.
Cruz is a liar and his supporters just repeat whatever stupid claim he makes, like "It's Trump who did it!"
It is. But there's a big difference between wrestling with that natural human tendency and just surrendering to total stubbornness.

Could be. Anyway, they've been trying to take down Trump for months and failing miserably, so there's definitely room for us to be optimistic about the final outcome. :)
You're right about that. What has happened is that Cruz now has a stormy dark cloud over his campaign. This in and of itself will most likely cost Cruz a loss of 15%- 20% in votes cast in the upcoming states elections.
