Regardless of his reasons, it might indicate that Trump views that one's faith come from your parents or heritage, rather than each person making their own decision to believe that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for their sins and asking forgiveness so that they might have eternal life in Christ.
And why belittle Seventh Day Adventists and Carson's conversion? Trump is welcome to keep his faith private, but when he starts addressing the other candidate's faith and bringing a Bible to some events, it comes to the forefront.
You also have to wonder why he doesn't have someone in his campaign to tell him how all of this looks to many people.
But WHICH 'many'?
The ones who would say, "That's just so hypocritical!"
Or those who'd say, "I'm glad he is not afraid to be seen with a bible in his hands!"
"Religion shopping" is a relatively newish thing.
Since the ONLY thing you appear to care about, is religion and other people's religion, why don't you just stay in FR's RELIGION SECTION?
As far as I'm concerned, I don't give a DAMN about any of this, find you tedious, somewhat perverted in your obsession with religion vis-a-vis politics, and more than a little obnoxious in your constant judgement of others as you complain about THEIR judgements.
So in closing, here's what I think about strange, non-mainline Christian sects....THEY'RE WEIRD! Happy now ?
