It broke in cnn tv. Anything after that is a repeat. There is no one in politics more tied to Cruz than Carpenter. She was the lead voice for Cruz from the 2012 campaign through all his senate initiatives.. If they planted that story it would not be from carpenter.
Looks like she got her director job the old fashioned way.

Breitbart's former editor Ben Shapiro killed the story. He was later asked for his resignation after fellow Cruz activist Michelle Fields perpetrated the hoax of claiming to have been pushed down by Trump's campaign manager [and the video surfaced, debunking her]. Both she and Shapiro were asked for their resignations after that. Shapiro then went to work for an online magazine owned by a Cruz backer [who donated something like $600,000 to his campaign].
So it's significant that the man spiking the Cruz story [Shapiro] had extensive ties to Cruz and his financial backers. He was clearly protecting the man.
Footnote: It's telling that all these people busted for dishonesty [Ben Shapiro, Michelle Fields, her boyfriend, Cruz fundraiser Jamie Weinstein] are all tied to a man known affectionately as "Lyin' Ted," and all busted for . . . well . . . lyin'. Guess the fruit doesn't fall too far from the tree.
