Ted Cruz cannot win. He has already lost if one uses reasonable mathematics. He said last night that he and Trump were the only 2 remaining with a mathematical path to victory.

That isn’t correct really.

There are 1400 delegates remaining. Cruz has about 300. He needs 900 to win. Tuesday about 400 delegates are up for grabs, and Cruz is in the running for less than 50 of those. That means that he will need 850 of 1100 delegates to win, when Trump is leading in most of the remaining important states.

Mathematically, he will be out of it except for a miracle some Tuesday night.

Cruz is not running to win. He is running to prevent Trump from winning. Kasich might be doing the same.
