After an Alleged Assault, the Trump Campaign Launches a Vicious, Deceptive Attack on Michelle Fields

Breitbart and the Trump campaign are locked in a war of words after Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, reportedly attacked Breitbart’s Michelle Fields Tuesday night rather than let her ask Trump a question regarding affirmative action. Breitbart is calling for an apology, but the Trump campaign has not only flatly denied Fields’s allegations, it has counterattacked Fields personally, spewing forth a series of rather obvious lies and distortions.
First, the background: Tuesday night — shortly after Trump’s triumphant press conference following his primary victories in Michigan and Mississippi — Fields claimed Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski reportedly grabbed her and yanked her away from the candidate to prevent her from asking a question.
Here’s Fields: Trump acknowledged the question, but before he could answer I was jolted backwards. Someone had grabbed me tightly by the arm and yanked me down. I almost fell to the ground, but was able to maintain my balance. Nonetheless, I was shaken. The Washington Post’s Ben Terris immediately remarked that it was Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who aggressively tried to pull me to the ground. I quickly turned around and saw Lewandowski and Trump exiting the building together.
No apology. No explanation for why he did this. Fields continued: Campaign managers aren’t supposed to try to forcefully throw reporters to the ground, no matter the circumstance. But what made this especially jarring is that there was no hint Trump was done taking questions. No one was pushing him to get away. He seemed to have been happily answering queries from my fellow reporters just a moment before. Writing in the Washington Post, Terris corroborated Fields’s account:

Where is the video? With hundreds of people and lots of other reporters around, I’m sure there must be numerous videos of the incident, but yet, I haven’t seen any. Supposedly there is a picture of her arm with a hand shaped bruise, but that can be faked. She didn’t file a police complaint. From what I’ve read she has a long history of accusing people of attacking her.
Since this is from National Review, I’d have to say, consider the sources.

Why doesn’t the media just post the video and get it over with? Or was this the one spot in America that didn’t have multiple video recording devices pointed at it at the time in question?

Breitbart had been very supportive of Trump, so I guess this is just a preview of how the’ll treat the rest of his supporters.
Cruz is my man. Trump is second. I dont believe it. She saw nothing and is taking the word of a Washington Post reporter. Dont trust him and she cant say who it was for sure.

I think Breitbart wanted another installation and Trump thought he’d already paid in full.
Well, I guess Breitbart CEO and President Larry Solov is now one of them, too, thanks to Lewandowksi.
“We are disappointed in the campaign’s response, in particular their effort to demean Michelle’s previous reporting. Michelle Fields is an intrepid reporter who has covered tough and dangerous stories. We stand behind her reporting, her techniques, and call again on Corey Lewandowski to apologize.”
Yeah, Lewandowski originally said he didn’t realize who Fields was with. I guess he didn’t know that you can’t work for Trump an offer an apology for anything, even a mealy-mouthed one like that. So now he’s denying everything.
Just trying to control the narrative.
Cruz will be talking about the horrible supporters of Trumps this weekend.
I remember ambitious Gunga Dan Rather, the male Babawa Wawa, claiming Mayor Daley’s goons beat him up on the floor of the ‘68 ‘rat convention.

The media is holding back on this- It will definitely be brought up in the general election.
Cruz just looks so small when 90% of the words coming out his mouth are an attack on Trump. Not Presidential at all.
