If labor is such a small part of the cost, why shouldn't we demand that workers aren't exploited? I just cannot accept that either I save a few dollars or someone in the supply chain between worker and consumer makes huge profits while workers are exploited.

As a conservative Republican, I support totally the opportunity for workers to rise to a middle class existence. It's the only way freedom can prevail. How is it okay to not demand that as a condition of trade with the US?

I would've thought that the last 13 years of nation-building around the world would have taught you that the people of the rest of the world don't share our love of freedom and prefer strong dictators that they can fear and respect. They just don't seem to care how they are treated. They're like a woman who marries a man that beats her, that man dies, and she is only attracted to other men that beat her. She doesn't respect nice guys and will not date them. Why worry about them, it's what they want.

How about we lower taxes and regulation so our companies can stay here.

The other peoples of the world don't care enough about it.
