Ronald Reagans supply side genius was to recognize America could boost its growth and create millions of jobs not by increasing government spending but rather by reducing taxes and regulation. Donald Trumps balanced trade epiphany is that the best way to make America great again is to eliminate the massive trade deficits now decimating the U.S. manufacturing baseand bleeding American workers dry.
The primacy of Trumpnomics and its balanced trade approach begins with this basic iron law: The growth of any nations gross domestic product (GDP) is propelled by only four driversconsumption, business investment, government spending and net exports.

Good article.
Good article.
Yes they are, aren’t they? And we all know how it ends.
Trumps detractors hate him because they say he is a liberal. I say his solutions to the problems we face are very conservative solutions. Our heralded politicians run every 2 to 6 years boasting of their conservative bona fides in solving our nations problems. They lied nearly every frickin’ time. I’m giving Trump, a non-political, straight shooter a chance. At least he has a history of real problem solving.
More disinformation...a big part of Trumps plan is to reduce corporate tax rates and to reduce the overly burdensome regulatory environment. He will just about guy the EPA for instance. His fair trade is really smart trade...so many of these free trade people seem to not understand that we do not have free trade. I am a free trade person, so is Trump...but to get to free trade we have to move the other nations do also abide by free trade...hence we will need to go through a phase of fair trade to get there. Probably will not take long, we have the most powerful buying power in the world and that has great value to those nations selling products to us.
yup. Any marginal reduction in the size of federal government and lessening of regulations will be routinely obliterated with the next ratcheting to the left.
Not if entire government sections (federal Education Dept.) are obliterated.
We don’t need a ‘cut in the increase.’ Need a wrecking ball like Trump to knock it down and start over.
That’s the plan, and I’m all for it.

Yep.
NOT by trade barriers and tariffs.
>>>but to get to free trade we have to move the other nations do also abide by free trade
Not at all. Trade barriers hurt the countries that raise them.
You’re proposing raising prices for all Americans to benefit the few. And think government can control the economy better and make better decisions than you can.
Higher prices, higher cost of doing business, lower our exports, lower our standard of living, lower the value of our wages.
That’ll show ‘em.
You can’t tax your way to prosperity. More government control of the economy never fixed anything.
True, that.
Every other government in the World owns their economy.
Trump wants to balance the trade. If we just want to create and sell to ourselves then your view is fine.
We lose on all balances. My company cannot sell in China unless the product is manufactured there.
That is a fact.
>>My company cannot sell in China unless the product is manufactured there.
That’s China’s loss isn’t it? Or is your product only good in China?
