I am, says Erick Erickson, and he's not alone. One of the chief coping mechanisms from righties on social media this weekend upon surveying the destruction in South Carolina was to swear they'll never be a Trumpist, even if the heavens fall. I believe Erickson, but I'd also bet cash money that 90 percent of the people saying "HELL NO NEVER HAPPEN" today will grudgingly come around over the next eight months upon being reminded, not on a daily but on an hourly basis, that Hillary Clinton is a pathological liar who'd be in prison if not for her status as the creme de la creme of Washington's elites.
I'm not saying conservative revulsion at Trump isn't real. It is, and I think when it all shakes out in November that Trump will have seen more Republicans stay home for him than stayed home for either Romney or McCain. But I don't think there'll be a third party and I also don't think that some sliver of conservatives staying home will doom Trump's candidacy. Given Hillary's weakness and his own appeal to independents and Reagan Democrats, it's possible that he'd find the votes he needs to win in the center. That would be the final indignity to the conservative movement after having its impotence laid bare for more than a year -- staging a mass boycott of Trump on election day and discovering that Trump can win anyway...

i’ve often thought that the option of nullifying a vote for a candidate should be present on the ballot.
choose one:
[ ] vote for Hillary
[ ] vote for Trump
[ ] vote against Hillary
[ ] vote against Trump
add all of the votes for and then subtract all the votes against to get the total for a candidate.
it would sure solve the turnout problem we had with conservatives in the last election cycle. ;)
PS: did you watch the You Tube video of Don Jrs question and answer? Awesome. Don. Jr out there on the campaign trail is Trump's secret weapon.
So why even bother? Why not just go about your merry way, live your live in blissful ignorance? There are much happier ways to live life than fighting over politics with morons.
Sounds like something a DUer would say.... ‘we can’t win, the man is holding us down!’.
Mitt would of done the same as obama, maybe only a little slower. I wouldn’t go on wasting time on that dead horse.
Don’t tell anyone that, Trump is going to save the world.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who’s voted in. The left is so deeply entrenched into society that it will take a major effort to right the ship. An effort that goes far beyond voting.
Anyone placing their hopes in elections at this point is either wilfully blind or plain naive.
I will vote. But not for Donald Trump. I don’t vote for liberals and New York values.
Let the cry babies cry.
Trump has appeal to almost everyone.
He will win in a landslide. We don’t need the thumb suckers who sabotaged us and gave us obama twice. They can all go pound sand.
That’s not what he is saying. He’s saying it’s time Americans acted like the founding fathers.
It’s easy to see the message, it’s just that people lack fortitude nowadays.
There is something about Hillary that just makes Republican get out and vote. Just sayin’.
After saying a few days ago that I would not vote for Trump in November, I’m back to thinking I probably will. Next week, who knows? Haha
So, your vote if for Hillary or Bernie then. That sounds like a plan.
Perhaps his Sunday morning nice guy sheek won you over.
The Donald, “I can change into whatever I want.”
If the Donald wins the vote is effectively, the lesser of 2 liberals.
I will vote for Trump.
America must vote, and probably eventually indict,
everyone the corrupt, liberal, antiAmerican Erickson supports.
They made me vote for McCain and Romney. I held my nose and pulled the lever. But I wasn’t voting FOR them, I was voting AGAINST Obama. Those who don’t vote for Trump will be casting a vote foe Hillary. My guess is their feelings for Trump will be overwhelmed with the vision of a Hillary presidency.
No way, no passola on this one. Romney is Romney, period. We can disparage his positions, policies, and personality.
However, no one here can say that we didn’t know what we were doing by staying home. We had four years of Obummer and we couldn’t get past a conservative purity test for Romney so all the whiny crybabies took their ball and went home. Look how well that turned out.
I support Cruz 100%. I will say a prayer and vote for Trump if that is my only way to stop the old socialist, or Bernie.
How many Trump supporters will say the same?
I’m not staying home no matter who the nominee is.
