Now Donald Trump is launching a birther attack against Marco Rubio
Blasting News ^ | February 22, 2016 | Mark R. Whittington

Donald Trump, the mercurial businessman who is running for president, has been given to saying alarming, crazy things. He has gone birther on President Barack Obama, suggesting that he was really born in Kenya. He has claimed that one of his chief political rivals, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas is ineligible to be president for having been born in Canada, albeit by an American mother. He has accused former President George W. Bush, brother of Jeb Bush, of lying about WMDs in Iraq and of knowing about the 9/11 attacks in advance. Trump is now turning his full, crazed birther attack on Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, according to the Huffington Post.

Indeed! He **knows** he is not a natural born citizen but is running anyway.

"However, The Donald and his birthers have not proven Cruz is not. So he gets my vote first."

Cruz was born in a foreign land to a foreign father. He is NOT even close to being a natural born Citizen.

Note the reference to Natural Law in the first sentence of our Declaration of Independence.

It is crystal clear that the Founding Fathers used the Natural Law definition of 'natural born Citizen' when they wrote Article II. By invoking "The Laws of Nature and Nature's God" the 56 signers of the Declaration incorporated a legal standard of freedom into the forms of government that would follow.

President John Quincy Adams, writing in 1839, looked back at the founding period and recognized the true meaning of the Declaration's reliance on the "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." He observed that the American people's "charter was the Declaration of Independence. Their rights, the natural rights of mankind. Their government, such as should be instituted by the people, under the solemn mutual pledges of perpetual union, founded on the self-evident truth's proclaimed in the Declaration."

“Rubio however is an anchor baby.”

I see an opportunity for a musical parody here, set to “Santa Baby”.

Cruz’s mother was a US citizen at the time of his birth.

Your anchor baby comment is all the prof I need to know Trump supporters aren’t deep thinkers.

Anchor babies refers to children of illegal aliens.

Rubio's parents were both born in Cuba, had not become US citizens, and it is possible that Rubio is a dual citizen with Cuban citizenship. No one has clarified that yet.

Interestingly, I looked up Cuba's citizenship laws to see it Ted Cruz might be a triple citizen, not just a dual citizen. I learned that any Cuban citizen who is abroad who did not support the Castro Revolution has lost the right to descend Cuban citizenship onto a child born abroad.

Cruz' father fled Cuba after the Castro revolution, so it is likely that he was Constitutionally barred from passing on Cuban citizenship.

Rubio's parents, however, left Cuba three years before the rise of Castro, and his mother made four trips back to Cuba since then. It's possible that Rubio's parents did descend Cuban citizenship to Rubio when he was born, as they had not yet become American citizens.

“Nobody is eligible except the great Trump!!!!!”

Not true. Kasich and Carson are eligible. Jeb and Christie were, too.
Jindal isn’t.

You won’t get that opportunity. It’s Trump now, all the way.

Cruz is not relevant to the simple fact Turnip is a liberal con man.

He’s a loud and brash version of Bernie Sanders.

Cruz has not released all of his records. He has the power to put this to rest.

“Not true. Kasich and Carson are eligible.”

They wouldn’t be eligible if Trump deemed them a threat. 1 Tweet would be all it would take to whip his supporters into birther frenzy.

Voters inclined to support Turnip...

I take it, then, that you are a disciple of the "Shrub" school of debate, preferring amusing puns and anagrams to make your points?

I’ve seldom been to Austin.

I have sat through several road show meetings with Turnip trying to unload his junk bonds. He’s come to my office on his various swings through the country looking for suckers.

He’s brash and a very affable salesman.

His presentation had no substance and he would get belligerent when we asked him questions like “15%? Great! Now how will you pay the money back?” He would give general answers but it came down to we would need to unload the junk bonds quick so that suckers at large would get stuck with the bill.

I wisely passed.

Baloney. They have records. None have claimed to be born in Canada and none have claimed to be Cuban-Americans. Trump is only asking the question many are also asking.

Hmmmmm, this thread is about Rubio. I was talking about Rubio. Not sure why you jumped to Cruz.

Your anchor baby comment is all the prof I need to know Trump supporters aren’t deep thinkers.

So, based on your reading comprehension and understanding of inferred content, I'm guessing you didn't score very high on your SATs? BTW, it's 'proof' not 'prof' unless, of course, you were referring to a professor.....

Rubio is a true anchor baby. If I were Trump, that's the terminology I’d use.

It's also why Trump called Cruz an anchor baby of Canada, born there to two foreign parents.

Piyush "Bobby" Jindal would be getting the same treatment now if he had not dropped out.

Trump said Cruz was NBC now he says he’s not.

Was Trump lying then or is he lying now?

Trump also said he had the proof Obama wasn’t a NBC.

Why is Trump covering that up or did he just lie?

“Baloney. They have records.”

Baloney. None of that matters. If Trump says they aren’t natural born, then it’s true. If Trump says Fox is evil, then it’s true. If Trump says it’s Bush’s fault, it’s true. If Trump says Conservatives are at fault for the state of our nation, then it’s true. Don’t deny it.
