I call it genetic memory because if there is a concerted effort to pass down the remembrances of the horrors of atrocity to future generations, I believe it becomes part of the culture, the learned history - that knowledge and identity that gets passed almost like genetic markers.
If these events are not remembered and recounted, then they die out in the memory - sort of an extinction.

As for the proper action to it? It should be treated the same as one would with a Nazi or Gestapo or the SS. It is a cancer, a bug and a disease of insanity and violence that has to be stamped out on sight, in my opinion.

I would hope that members of that Miami synagogue take this just as seriously. We have 2A for reasons just like this.

I live in North Georgia. There is an abundance of pickup trucks, tarps, and dark, lonely mountain roads overlooking deep ravines.
The wife and I have been attending a Messianic Synagogue for the last year since I retired from active Christian ministry. They are delightful folk and take the Word seriously. They also take security seriously...there is a uniformed off duty Sherriff’s officer with his marked patrol car sitting out front at each Shabbat service for the last couple of months. That officer is paid for by the congregation but he stands as a watchman on the wall and a deterent to any Muslims or anybody else contemplating violence.
Sounds like North Georgia doesn’t have much of a Muslim problem. They’re not that stupid.
