The election is 9 months away. I hope we end up with Cruz - my november nightmare is walking in to vote and the names 'sanders' and 'trump' stare back at me...
Our host on this site has been gracious, and Trump's true colors will show soon enough - much like Obama's did with his books and such. If enough people just wake up and look at the info in front of them...but 'we the people' don't have a good track record of doing that. No matter what, I am sure that FR will continue to be the 'land of the free'...and hopefully return to the 'home of the sane'...
Unlike Obama, Trump has never hidden anything, WYSIWYG. The other thing about Trump is that without Trump it would be a max 20% per candidate race and we would be very lucky if Cruz stayed at that 20% (the media would push polls showing someone else at 20). By grabbing the lion's share of the polls, Trump has reserved those votes for himself or a deserving candidate like Cruz. He has basically destroyed the media making it impossible for them to attack Cruz on things like carpet bombing ISIS. Any time they mention that Cruz wants to carpet bomb and how poltically incorrect that is, they have to admit that Trump wants to ban Muslims. Score one for Trump and score one for Cruz.
WHY?? I'm all for a national discussion of the problems the US faces. Sanders and Trump pretty much agree on what the problems are. We get rid of the sold-off pool slime that's running things, that can happen. And you know what? In a serious, thorough discussion of liberal vs conservative solutions, conservatives win, every time.
