Cruz does not say this about Hillary or Obama! This is the second time he talked about Trump's finger on the button.

It would be a whole lot funnier if the stakes weren’t so high. I think we’re on the precipice...or maybe we’ve over it and just don’t fully realize it yet.

I think a lot of people feel the way you do.....which is why passions are running so high this election. Have we fallen off yet? I don't think so, but I don't think we have a lot of time to fight, when the opposition party is running a "proclaimed" Socialist, and so many Americans think that is a "good" thing.

I don’t think Obama should ever have been allowed near the WH - he had a Kenyan (communist) father. And look what that got us.

I don't think Obama's Kenyan Father had much to do with his Presidential actions towards America beyond his love of Islam. Obama got his Marxist/Socialist philosophy right here in the good ole USA from his mother and the circle of family/friends he was raised in. Hillary has no "foreign" birth ties....but she was immersed in the same culture...and feels the same way, as does non-foreigner, Bernie Sanders. Their followers? Good ole' Americans..

The founders saw the future and we stupidly ignored them.

Yes, they did, but it wasn't foreigners they warned us about OVER and OVER. It was that they had given us a system of Government guaranteed to give us FREEDOM for as long as we FOUGHT TO KEEP that system of Government.

Unfortunately, we've had several generations of complacent, lazy Americans (myself included) that have been too busy with other stuff to even appreciate what they have or that those "protections" provided by the Constitution were being slowly stripped away. In our silence, mini Dictators on BOTH SIDES of the political spectrum have been degrading the Constitution, for personal profit and power, until our country doesn't even look like the same one our founders created.

So that, in a nutshell, is why I'm presently backing the Canadian Viper, who IS a NBC (per my research), and has "preached" FOR YEARS that we can survive bad leaders WITH the Constitution, but our nation won't survive good OR bad leaders WITHOUT getting BACK to the Constitution. Since my pre-Senate research showed he had fought for the Constitution since 2000 and before, I know it's not a "vote for me for President" sound bite....but a conviction he holds. That "conviction" takes power away from Washington...which is a big reason they all hate him....which I see as a badge of honor, not a negative.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, but thanks for the discussion. I don't know who is going to win the R nomination, but debating the nominees is a very good thing, in my opinion, as is the passion for what's going on in our country. The flip side to that passion is that we can get a little intense without realizing it....which is why we have to try to keep some humor going so we don't FRY each other. LOL

Signing off...and best wishes to you, Aria, from the "Canadian Viper Voter"

“If she had endorsed the other guy the same people would be praising her and endorsing her as his running mate. I find this kind of disingenuous BS very disturbing.”

Me too.

So, basically you left a terse reply on this thread and I responded with a terse reply to your reply, so you then respond to me with another terse reply with a link to a post you made before which was a long reply that suggested people not leave terse replies???

Thanks for the tip.. haha

Thanks for the tip.. haha

Here is my original post

Yes, you are exactly correct, Trump has always said he would repeal Obamacare, but you are leaving out the rest of the sentence. He has said and continues to say "repeal and replace". In fact, he was just recently attacking Cruz, saying he had no heart, we can't let people die in the streets. So yeah, we know he wants to repeal it, but just what exactly would he be replacing it with?

And here is what you posted in response.

well obviously, no one wants people to die in the streets, do you???

Followed up by this little gem...

Is that supposed to be a strike against Trump that he thinks people should not die in the streets of America????

So where exactly do you see "terse reply" in what I originally wrote? Is asking a legitimate question now going to be considered confrontational, beyond the bounds of normal discourse? Let me help you out, as you are obviously in need of a refresher course in the art of discussion. Here is what would be considered a non terse reply to your latest comment:

I am sorry that my comment was interpreted as being terse, my intention was simply to inquire as to what would be the candidates position going forward in regards to the issue of healthcare if and when he dispenses with the current law.

Now I would like to demonstrate what most on this site would consider a terse reply:

Did you have a bet with another freeper to see how many times you could stick the word terse in a sentence? When someone asks you a question that requires some actual thought, building straw men is generally considered a sign of weakness in ones argument. Do I want to see people dying in the street, you ask? As a rule, I would say no, but in your case, I could make an exception, jackass... haha

I hope this interaction proves to be helpful moving forward, and I wish you continued success on your journey through the many intricacies and possibilities of the English language. I know it can be scary at times, but with continued practice, and an occasional cracking open of a book above the level of the sixth grade, you will be on your way in no time...

Kush

P.S. Multiple question marks at the end of a sentence do not increase the relevancy or urgency of a question. They're just annoying, but you probably knew that...

Haha— You had me agreeing with you— until the sixth grade book ad hominem attack and the rest of the ending of your post-— btw— I can almost guarantee I have a higher level of education than you..

Let me rephrase my original question to you.... You quoted Trump saying that he does not want people to die in the streets, of what possible relevance is that to anything?

Ah, you have hit upon the question that should have started this whole thing. We would have both saved a lot of time. Let's go back to your original post.

Yea, is a typical politician.... Cruz and his supporters say Trump is a liberal-- They say Trump is in favor of Obamacare-- even though everything Trump has ever said is that he wants to repeal Obamacare- I could go on for 20 other lies-- it is ridiculous- and thinking people are not going to fall for that crap...

It seems your point is "Cruz and his supporters say Trump is a liberal", "They say Trump is in favor of Obamacare", "even though everything Trump has ever said is that he wants to repeal Obamacare", ergo, Cruz is a liar.

And so I replied, "Yes, you are exactly correct, Trump has always said he would repeal Obamacare, but you are leaving out the rest of the sentence. He has said and continues to say "repeal and replace". In fact, he was just recently attacking Cruz, saying he had no heart, we can't let people die in the streets. So yeah, we know he wants to repeal it, but just what exactly would he be replacing it with?"

Now granted, you might not think that is a fair question, but I do. Consider from where Trump attacks Cruz. Straight from the left. So my point is, A. exactly what has he offered in place of Obamacare, and B. if he is willing to attack from the left, is he willing to govern from the left? In other words, will he substitute Trumpcare for Obamacare? I think it might be important to find out exactly where he stands. I am through with our candidates playing at being conservative, only to stab us in the back. He needs to step up.

I understand the worry about voting for someone who does not live up to expectations--- clearly that has happened too much the past many years...

but I don't believe anyone-- no matter their political inclinations would want any American to die in the streets... We have never allowed that.. The question then becomes what will Trump replace Obamacare with? According to Trump, he says he wants to replace it with a nation wide marketplace...

But, I can agree with your point-- let's find out exactly what he wants to replace Obamacare with? and the same can be said for the rest of the candidates... If we had real debates maybe we could get to these answers...

and hopefully the number of candidates can be narrowed down soon, so we can understand what the real contenders are proposing...

Common ground, at last. Couldn't agree more.
