First it was the Clinton like intimidation letter scolding voters because Ted Cruz decided their past refusal to vote in the Iowa caucuses made them bad citizens. That was a planned eleventh hour âOops that NEVER should have happened; why thatâs terrible,â dirty trick worthy of Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Then on election night Cruz super supporter Republican Congressman Steve King â (a self- identified enemy of amnesty who has no trouble overlooking the pro amnesty Club For Growthâs support for Cruz) decided that Cruz needed another thumb on the scale and spread a lie about Ben Carson dropping out of the race with this tweet, âCarson looks like [he] is out. Iowans need to know before they vote. Most will go to Cruz, I hope.â Now In true Clinton style, Cruz apologized to Carson, but of course it comes after the fact.
Cruz said, âWhat the team should have done is send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out. That was a mistake from our end, and for that I apologize to Dr. Carson.â In another Clintonian âNot me, It wasnât meâ statement Cruz tried to blame CNN for the âinnocent mistake.â Cruz has said that CNN reported Carson was leaving the race; but CNN says, âNo, we didnât say that.â
More than this, Carsonâs wife âCandyâ actually heard the lie being spread in a polling place in Ankeny. According to a report in the Dailymail, Mrs. Carson âactually walked in, on it being said,[and] gave a speech about no, heâs still in the race and thatâs a lieâ

You hit the jackpot on that one,
Cruz would have been all over Carson for an endorsement because Carson had a lot of evangelical votes that Cruz would love to have.
Coach really hates Cruz. :-)
“Convenient conclusion you got there.” Not convenient so much as whining. I think Trump is losing it. Probably should go back to the “Cruz is not an American” meme. He is starting to sound like Obama, blaming everything on others.
There’s nothing wrong with speculating. What’s wrong is taking speculation as fact.
BS!! You can spin all you want but twisting what those CNN reporters said into ‘he’s quitting’ and putting it out there right before the vote was just an unadulterated, inexcusable LIE.
And how do you come up with a week? From Mon. night (leaving to beat the storm out of there) til probably Wed. sometime, since it IS a prayer BREAKFAST on Thursday in Washington D.D., is a week? Lord, I wish my work week was one of your weeks. I can see where Carson thinks attending the prayer breakfast is more important than going to New Hampshire. No evangelical candidate is going to get anywhere in New Hampshire. They are one of the lowest states for church attendance in the country.
If you think Cruz is such a principled Christian instead of just another politician that will lie to win, then maybe you should get your head out of the sand. Period.
Opps should have been Washington, D.C. but D.D. can work too. District of Dummies.
Cruz is as corrupt as Hillary, First the fake mail, then lying about Carson, sheesh.
I am changing my opinion of Cruz, for the worse.
Trump is coming off a bit of a tattle tale. What he’s saying is never the less, true. The line between Cruz/Rubio exists only in the minds of their supporters. Birds of a feather.
I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see a big bounce for Carson come out of this. After all he’s the only other viable outsider in the race.
Say what?
Cruz apologized to Carson. Why would Cruz apologize if he did nothing
wrong?
You know as well as I do that Cruz apologized for not verifying a story that CNN started and other campaigns repeated.
If Trump had done this stuff everybody would be screaming for his head on a stick.
I don’t know full well.
First, the sleezy mailers and now spreading the rumor that Carson
had left the race to steal votes from Carson.
What type of Christian runs this type of race?
