This has been posted several times, although the titles vary between the above and “An Open Letter To Mark Levin.”
Good piece. Telling the reality of it.
Ted Cruz never donated to the Clintons, never supported abortion or gay marriage or single payer or a wealth tax.
No moderators around. I don’t blame them as the collective IQ here has dropped during the Trump/Cruz 400 round boxing match.
There’s 3 people who know who this woman is, and none of them will read this endless crap.
Yep. "Liquidated our family assets" sounded a lot better to voters than "took a million dollar loan from Goldman-Sachs".
I started to debunk this trash on another thread and had to stop because it is so laughably pathetic.
Here’s how far I got:
1. First of all, who is this person really, and why should I give a crap? If they have to spend the first part of their letter establishing bona fides, it means that they are essentially a nobody. If they were someone whose opinion I should care about, I would probably already know their name. But letâs put that aside and get to substance...
2. â And who can dispute that the [(D)onald] has taste?â Uh... ostentatious display of wealth is not necessarily taste. So, this subjective observation is wildly misaligned with my view of âtaste.â
3. âWould ANY of us prefer the Obama family over the Trump family?â Wait - which family? His first, second, or third family? Obama may be an asshat, but at least heâs maintained a core family. So, bad play on this line.
4. âOne thing I know for certain and without any reservation whatsoever ââ¬â Mr. Trump LOVES this country, and dare I say, he is IN LOVE with this country.â Hah. No. He is in love with himself and money. He loves the fact that this country allows him to make money hand-over-fist and use the laws to run away from a bad business deal with no real long term consequences.
5. âThe real shame is this: Mr. Trump has been a VERY, VERY generous donor to the GOP, the RNC, the RNCC, and most every other Republican committee in this country.â Ha. Replace âRepublican/GOP/RNCâ with âdemocratâ and youâll find that the statement still holds true. Trump donates to ANYONE to expand his ability to self-aggrandize. âAnd when I say donate, I mean he wrote many different checks for $30,000.00 each.â Like the $100k to the Clinton foundation?
6. âI would like everyone who is reading this to please watch this video of Donald Trump, from 1988ââ¬Â¦â Ohhh... sweet. Weâre pulling up videos from as far back as 1988! Letâs take some more recent clips, shall we: https://youtu.be/rcUCLwWCihE
7. âAfter all, if you take away all those ââ¬Åsubsidizedââ¬Â jobs, we will end up subsidizing those folks in the welfare system.â Sigh. This person talks like a democrat. The *government* must provide the solution! We must subsidize one way or another. Seriously? You consider this a good open letter?
8. Ah - now we get to the rub! BIG OIL! Eeeeevil big oil! Holy crap - are we sure this person isnât a member of Greenpeace? Letâs be clear about the difference between âbig oilâ and âethanol,â shall we? Big oil subsidies are tax breaks. Guess what? If you start at the root, we as conservatives *shouldnât be supporting the tax in the first place.* As I posted fairly recently on FR, corporate taxes are a fraud. Companies donât pay them. They are a cost passed on to consumers. So, when you talk about âsubsidizing big oilâ what you really mean is âsubsidizing the tax payers who will ultimately carry the cost anyway.â Second, the reason big oil âsubsidiesâ are large in comparison is a matter of SCALE. Oil is a much, much bigger industry than ethanol, so naturally, if you give them a tax break it will result in a larger overall dollar figure. Third, ethanol has a frickinâ government mandate for bogus âgreenâ reasons. THEN the government subsidizes. Thatâs straight up bullcrap. If ethanol is better, let it compete on the free market. So, all of these arguments that Lauren Stephens makes are straight out of the liberal playbook. Nice to know where we are coming from...
9. âSo let us not forget it was Cruz who fired the first shot by speaking so horribly of Trump in the undercover audio, which was later released to the public.â LOL! Laughable, at best. âSo horribly!â LOL. Did you actually listen to the audio? What a joke! Right away, this writer has lost all credibly right here!
OK, ok.. I have to stop right here, because anyone who classifies THAT audio as âso horriblyâ is *obviously* delusional. Seriously, completely, and irrevocably delusional. How can you take ANYTHING this writer says seriously after that comment?
(I did read through the rest, but Iâm stopping commenting because itâs futile at this point. I could tear the rest of the post up, but why bother? This writer has no credibility left. I might as well write on essay on why Bernie Sanders is wrong.)
Based on Trumps remarks today in Iowa, Ted has a better chance of being Hillary’s running mate than he has of being Donald’s choice for VP. Trump is very upset about the lies regarding his use of eminent domain.
and I don’t blame him.
This primary season it’s all about fear, uncertainty and doubt. FUD. Seems to work very well in politics.
Mark for later read.
And she's turned against Cruz because of ethanol???
Trump didn't get it, but the house is gone (bulldozed after the lady died). That Trump attempted to get it is the issue, not whether he was effective in his intent.
Character counts.
Just sent Cruz $100.
So...Trump is a nice guy who talks like a jerk and Cruz is a jerk who talks like a nice guy. Is that about it? :)
First time I read it. Great Piece. Thank you for posting.
She sure does a pretty good defense of Trump and makes some of my points. I think Trump is great. But I like Cruz as well. I’m favoring Trump now. I feel the conservative establishment is bullying Trump. They wanted Cruz to go after Trump to win. The TDS is showing. I am considering voting for whoever wins. I don’t think Rubio can win nor anybody else running. This food fight is a problem because it will anger people on both sides and I was trying to support Trump and Cruz. If I have to choose then I am going with Trump.
Damn Cruz. Filthy Canadian who works with banks. And he looks like Grandpa Munster. So damn him.
All hail messiah Trump, beholden to none, benevolent to all. All hail our king, The Donald.
