Once again the very desperate Donald Trump is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, now suggesting that Ted Cruz is worse than Hillary “when you think about it” because of his filing mistake with respect to the loan he took out to fund his Senate campaign in Texas:

You know who else thinks Cruz is worse than Hillary? The Republican establishment.
I’ve said this before, that Trump fights exactly like the Republican Establishment fights when they have a conservative challenging a Republican incumbent. They will say anything to beat that conservative into the mud and defeat them.
And that’s exactly what Donald Trump is doing now.
He’s jumping the shark almost daily now and it’s pathetic.

4 years from know; it would be interesting to see Trump supporters and detractors defend positions they have today.

Don’t read his comments, watch the speeches and you will see that he said the establishment sees the writing on the wall and people from the establishment are bailing from the other candidates and trying to get onboard with him. He said that he doesn’t know ‘if this is a good or a bad thing’ His point was that they are giving up! Not that he is part of them.
And on the Cruz McConnell issue, I like when Cruz called him a liar, but Cruz has alienated everyone and instead of being a true leader and bringing people to his side. In the senate, he has accomplished NOTHING. A big fat ZERO accomplishments. If he was a real leader, he would have more support but instead he has had to give in and support things like TPP, TPA, the Corker bill, H1B expansion and other NON-CONSERVATIVE things to maintain his committee status.
On one thread you are on a soap box about attacking the messenger... and here, you attack the messenger.

Yes, I’m defending Trump against the title of this article which makes a lying statement: that Trump said Cruz’s conservatism is worse than Hillary’s liberalism.
That is the attempt of this title, and no honest person would deny it.

I thought conservatives were brighter than leftists, this Trump guy is proving me wrong.
I really liked Trump, until he felt it necessary to go instant nasty. If he was truly in the lead there is no reason to act the way he now is.
Trump well knows that if he does not run the tables in early Primaries, he is done. He will not be able to turn the Convention delegates into his Pied Piper lemmings with cute soundbytes like he has with lots of sheeple.
