I’m a Ted Cruz supporter...and I am neither desperate or in any kind of denial.
I am happy to see him doing well in Iowa and hope he wins there.
I believe he is the most constitutional and conservative of the pack.
Having said that, I am also more than happy to end up supporting whomever is the nominee...including Doanld Trump, against the likes of Hillary or Sanders.
IMHO, that’s the sanest and most productive attitude any of us can have for the GOP right now. There is no need to get personal or to drag one another down...that only benefits the liberals and progressives and further damages the nation.
In any campaign, there are going to be things said and accusations leveled...both ways...that are meant to try and knock people down a few percentage pints. Sadly...it is the way things have developed here and generally such things mask the true issues of the day.
But you live with it and move on to getting a candidate vetted through the process and nominated who can best serve the nation. That’s what is happening here...and as I say, at the end of it, I am confidant that I will be able to support the nominee against Hillary or Sanders.
Some I certainly feel stronger about than others. But at this stage, I feel very confidant that the American people are going to choose someone outside the establishment to get this job done and we’d best all be in a position to support whomever that is against the Dems.
A presidential thrust that combines a number of talents would be best. We’ve been so conditioned to think of it as some kind of one-man show.
Obama kind of already pioneered the concept... his think tank is primarily Valerie Jarrett. They use their talents for evil, but most definitely they are pooled.
How about something like Donald Trump with the other front runners to advise. And most notably, Cruz. You got a good sharp spear head and many feathers of wisdom combined here.
Why let the devil have all the good ideas?
Your’s is the most reasoned assessment expressed on this matter. Thank you.
I’m with you, Jeff.
Would like to see cooler heads prevail around here.
Rivalry is well and good, but let’s not do Hillary’s job for her by destroying our candidates with the most potential to advance conservatism.
Cruz was easy to vet. There isn’t much there to expose and his work is public record.
Trump hasn’t even begun to be vetted with all his business dealing and “exchanges”, to put it politely, with politicians.
When Trump is nominated the left is going to have field day with the target rich Trump. The MSM has no desire to expose Trump in the primary and have been lying low. They want to see him win it. The flood will come after the nomination.
Same here.
Same here. I will support any conservative candidate against Clinton or Sanders or any Dem nominee they try to shove off on the country.
Do the lefties go at it over which of the candidates is more liberal? I never see it.
I think if Trump is elected...we will be headed down the wrong road,,once again.
He is saying the things we want to hear,,,but it's just sweat tea. You like it...when you taste it.
Our country is in DEEP, DEEP trouble...
