Donald Trump has been on a tear today on Twitter, consistently attacking Ted Cruz today. Trump has called the Texas Senator a hypocrite and challenged him repeatedly over his comments regarding New York.
Trump: Everybody that loves the people of New York, and all they have been thru, should get hypocrites like Ted Cruz out of politics!
Earlier today Trump slammed Cruz for accepting money from supporters of gay marriage and then taking a stand against it. He said on Twitter, "If Ted Cruz is so opposed to gay marriage, why did he accept money from people who espouse gay marriage?"

We all understand it so you can turn the volume down, stop yelling, and try to reason the issue out.
There is enough around to demonstrate what the founding fathers intended and why they intended it. They wanted to insure that the president was absolutely free of foreign influence and that the choice of president would not be an issue where other countries could advance their favorite duke or prince, an issue over which too many European wars were fought.
And so each case you present, McCain, Trump, George Romney, and Cruz present different factual issues and so each is different. In the case of Obama, we don't actually know what the facts are.
There are a few Trump worshippers here, but only a few. Most I know are thoroughly disgusted by the sell-out crowd known as GOPe. While normally folks around here would be suspicious of anyone's wealth (the old saw - behind every great fortune there is a great crime) the one thing that is clear is that Trump cannot possibly be running on grounds of greed, gluttony or lust, or envy or laziness. He has all the money he needs and can buy pretty much whatever would give him pleasure to have.
The only thing that his accomplishments to date cannot give him is immortality, which among sane mortals means establishing a clear legacy. If that is what he seeks, then that is honorable enough a calling for the rest of us.
We all have our criteria. As it should be.
I’m sure we will. He’s quite a good person.
To say that Lawrence Tribe (a flaming radical liberal - and DEMOCRAT), is the authority
............................................................
Trump NEVER said, Tribe was THE AUTHORITY! He said he was ONE of MANY who questioned “Native Born” regarding Cruz. Since Tribe was a former professor of Cruz and Obama at Harvard, he seems to be a valid person to have an opinion, regardless of his hard left leanings. He TAUGHT both OBAMA and CRUZ! You are trying to put words in Trump’s mouth. STOP IT and BACK OFF! You are using LIBERAL TACTICS!
Well, I’m not suspicious of wealth, and I don’t begrudge Trump his fortune. He earned it.
I think the reason he’s running for office is self-aggrandizement.
And with all due respect, if you’ve seen only a few Trump worshippers here, you should read the forum more often. There are plenty of them.
“We the people of the United States of America.” Clear enough?
Sorry about that.
And how do you propose he will aggrandize himself - being a failure as a president, being Bush III or Obama II will certainly not aggrandize him in any manner whatsoever.
So What!My picture has been taken with Foreign Presidents and American politicians but that does not mean I adhere to their policies. Obviously you know nothing about the Social Circle.
Do you really think Trump believes he would fail? He believes he's the greatest success ever...everything he does is "fantastic', "the best', etc.
And Self Confidence is part and parcel of the makeup of a WINNER!
I used used to think like you, but after I retired from the business scene I decided to get involved in politics and be active in the Republican grass roots. I have since learned a lot about government that I did not know or consider when I was a working for a living.
Concerning Trump, he has been used to having absolute control over his organization. He can control the purse strings and fire and hire whomever he wants. He makes the rules and can do whatever he wants within the bounds of the law. He has absolute power.
As POTUS he will not have such wide control. He will only manage the executive branch of the government. His duties will be limited by the Constitution. He will not control the purse strings, make any rules outside the executive branch, or be able to ignore laws and fire or hire the legislative or judicial branches if they disagree with him or his agenda. He will have power to veto legislation but even that be overridden by a 2/3 majority of the legislature. He will serve at the pleasure of our Congress and can be removed from power for impeachable offenses. But he will have the power to influence legislation. If he is a great negotiator and communicator he can achieve much if he can navigate the partisan political waters that has poisoned our government in recent years.
I do not think our Republic system of government is neither structured to be a business nor run like one. But it can be run as efficiently as a business.
Because I know Cruz has more experience in government I prefer Cruz. But given Trump is a great negotiator and bull$hitter he could adapt his business skills to government. How long this would take I don’t know. But I will support whoever gets the nomination because this will be the most important election conservatives will face in a lifetime.
But I do have concerns about Trump. My first concern is that Trump will try to bully or bull$hit his way to success as he has in his business dealings. This will not work. There is already too much of this now. My second concern is whether he can he work his deals without giving up or comprising our conservative values. My third concern is whether he will stay the course if he does not attain the same level of success as he in his business career.
Re:”Trump is the new Ross Perot, with a bigger ego.
“
You are correct, sir.
We have a winner.

HE’S A DEMOCRAT .. AND YOU BELIEVE HIM ..??????????????
HE’S AS BIG A LIAR AS HILLARY CLINTON.
I DON’T CARE IF HE WAS THE ONLY LAWYER IN THE WORLD .. HE’S STILL A DEMOCRAT FIRST .. FOREMOST .. AND ALWAYS.
WHEN ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO GET IT. .???
MOST DEMOCRATS ARE BIAS AND PARTISAN .. IN FAVOR OF THE DEMOCRATS FIRST AND ALWAYS.
YOU STILL DON’T GET IT.
THE DEMOCRATS WILL SUPPORT TRIBE .. NO MATTER WHAT HE SAYS, BECAUSE HE IS A DEMOCRAT .. AND WHAT TRIBE IS SAYING FITS THE DEMOCRAT AGENDA.
TRIBE ISN’T SAYING IT BECAUSE IT’S TRUE .. HE’S SAYING IT BECAUSE IT FITS THE DEMOCRAT AGENDA. THE DEMOCRATS ARE HAPPY TRUMP BROUGHT IT UP .. BECAUSE NOW THEY GET TO BEAT IT TO DEATH.
HOW CAN YOU BE SO IGNORANT TO BELIEVE THIS DRIVEL ..??? BUT I GUESS IT FITS YOUR AGENDA TOO.
I’m sorry .. am I hurting your wee little ears .. Ooooooh!! Poor thing.
Grow up .. Tribe is a DemocRAT first and always .. and he’s saying what he knows the DemocRATS want the world to think about Cruz. It’s not because Tribe believes it’s true .. that has nothing to do with it. Tribe is saying it because he’s a DemocRAT.
Good grief .. are you that dense ..??????
Oh yeah, by the way .. who the hell are you to tell me to STOP AND BACK OFF .. you don’t have the right to tell me anything.
Obviously you are talking about Tribe. So what if he is a Democrat! There are Democrats on the Supreme Court. He is a lawyer and has an opinion. His opinion is possibly based on Vattel’s Law of Nations. he says Cruz is not eligible.
I am a believer in the Law of Nations being the reference to which the Framers turned when they wrote “natural born citizen.” I do not believe Cruz is eligible either. There are many, many well known attorneys who also do not think Cruz is eligible, and some who do. Trump quoted the man who taught Cruz at Harvard, whose political beliefs have nothing to do with the issue.
You do not have the right to scream at me and mock me with your childish tantrums. I have fully explained why Tribe’s political affiliations have nothing to do with the subject. It is all moot anyway. A suit has been filed in California and it is in the hands of the courts.
I’m not dense. I fully understand Vattel’s Law. have you ever even read a snippet of it?
