Trump: Cruz Controlled by Special Interests UPDATE: Allen West Weighs In
The Pundit Press ^ | 1/16/2016 | Thomas

Donald Trump has been on a tear today on Twitter, consistently attacking Ted Cruz today. Trump has called the Texas Senator a hypocrite and challenged him repeatedly over his comments regarding New York.

Trump: Everybody that loves the people of New York, and all they have been thru, should get hypocrites like Ted Cruz out of politics!

Earlier today Trump slammed Cruz for accepting money from supporters of gay marriage and then taking a stand against it. He said on Twitter, "If Ted Cruz is so opposed to gay marriage, why did he accept money from people who espouse gay marriage?"

Iowa does not matter.
If Iowa was not first and the MSM was’t touting them every night, it would be right up there with Wyoming.

Seriously..CRUZ should ask Allen West to immediately join him. An announcement like that ahead of the primary will show conservatives they have the real total ticket, FINALLY after all these years.

Yes, the one and same, Ian Reisner, co owner of Out NYC, a gay hotel.

Then again, Ted is a lawyer, I’ m sure he could say something in the guy’s defense.

People like to take issue with Trump being a developer, yet nary a peep about Ted rubbing elbows with these two queer developers. The sweet lure of filthy lucre.

Politics makes strange bedfellows.

1. Immediate priorities rule.

2. Attacking New York values wins a lot of states. Especially New York City values.

Schwartz v. Cruz, 4:16-cv-00106, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas.

The guy that filed it (Schwartz) said something along the lines of it being easy to file.

Cruz will go to court and argue the court should NOT make a decision on the merits. Cruz prefers this is not resolved, and Trump will tweet that out.

Well .. I still maintain that 9/11 WAS NOT A NYC ISSUE - IT WAS A NATIONAL ISSUE.

For weeks and months we heard stories and stories of people from all over America, who dropped everything and raced to NYC to help with the recovery and cleanup.

TRUMP IS WAY OFF THE MARK ON THIS, as well as the “birther” issue. To say that Lawrence Tribe (a flaming radical liberal - and DEMOCRAT), is the authority Trump is using to say that Cruz is Canadian .. is just beyond the pale.

And .. Trump’s new ploy to mention all these Liberal-Light people who are worthless to America, as a potential VP .. I’m done.

I’ve been a supporter of Ted’s from the beginning, and I don’t see anything Trump is doing or saying that will change my mind.

I hope he has the skillset and patience to deal with Congress and Washington politics in an lawful and above board manner

If he does then nothing will happen except 8 more years of Obama Care and 8 more years of open borders.

I hope he has the skillset and impatience to get the government by the short hairs and drag it to doing the people's business for a change. I hope he has the fortitude to shut the whole place down if they will not git along with gittin' along with things.

After he uses conservatives to win the primary, he will no longer be beholden to them.

I don't think anyone is going to vote for him believing that he will advance the "conservative" agenda. I think a lot of conservatives will vote for him with the expectation that he will start solving some of the nation's big problems.

That isn't what Trump is saying. What Trump is saying is that folks including a smart attorney like Tribe thinks that Cruz has a problem and so Cruz should seek a declaratory judgment from the Supreme Court on the issue (SC has original jurisdiction on this one since it is purely a constitutional issue). If a lot of attorneys say that it is an issue in controversy, then, my friend, it is an issue in controversy until it is settled.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I responded to some loon stating that Cruz was hypocritical for attending a fund-raiser (at least I think it was one) put together by 1 or 2 gay men. I explained that Cruz is not anti-gay & only feels that the states should decide gay marriage. As it stands now, since SCOTUS ignored the 10th amendment, that is the federal law. I don’t think that will change nor will Roe. v. Wade (even though Roe is now pro-life). So, probably nothing major is going to change re gay marriage & abortion. Those items are way down on everybody’s lists with security/defense, the economy & health care near the top.

...."We need someone who has proven his successes over and over.".......

Well you might see the Trump name across the nation and world but many properties that say Trump on the front door aren’t actually owned by Trump or his business interests, but simply pay him for the use of his name.

I'm not interested in a President who will use the United States name and the office of the President to funnel tax payers money to his corporate cronies or use it's name to strike deals for his own self interests.

You think I'm wrong?...Well here's just one example of why Trump wants the Pipeline.....

.... Trump holds At least $250,000 worth of stock in 'Trans-Canada Pipelines Ltd.'..., the Canadian company hoping to build the Keystone XL pipeline....Those holdings also include stock in numerous 'other' fossil fuel companies that would benefit from the pipeline’s construction.

So Trump began screaming about it years ago...

2011...Trump told a Canadian paper, through a spokesman, that it is ....“an outrage our president isn’t approving the Keystone pipeline,”

2012 Trump deemed the delay in approving the pipeline “absolutely disgraceful.”

2013... on Twitter, ...“Will the Keystone XL pipeline finally be approved?.... Will create over 100,000 jobs and make us more energy independent.”

The Department of State has determined the pipeline would create only about 35 'permanent' jobs...Trump agreed.

Trump is investing his own money. He can invest it wherever the hell he chooses.

Cruz is on the government payroll. Funny about that little detail, huh!

Trump signs the front of the check. Cruz signs the back.

Okay. You have a far more moderate position wrt social issues (& we certainly agree), but the average Cruz supporter isn’t coming from the same place that you are.

What is really hypocritical is in the context of claiming that Trump is ‘’pro gay marriage’’ & ‘’pro abortion’’. (not directing that statement at you, just explaining what I was talking about)

Sorry, Pookie- truly. I guess you were the foil. I regret that.

Exactly what we, in Texas, sent Cruz to Washington to do in 2014. And he didn't disappoint us. He stood up to the Washington Cartel. Considering the partisan makeup of the Senate he did real well, filibustering and almost causing the government to shut down before raising the federal debt for Obama's uncontrolled spending. All the Democratic socialist liberals and Republican GOPe and RINOs hate him. He has the battle experience. He has waged battles for the conservative cause and its values and would be a strong leader as POTUS.

I happen to think the pipeline was a good thing for America.
It is perfectly natural for someone to want an investment to produce. Only Communists don’t think that way. What are you?

As far as paying someone for the use of their name, it is called FRANCHISING. Go to school and expand your limited vocabulary and maybe your brain will follow. Start with Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonalds,Starbucks etc, etc, etc.

As far as using the United States name and funneling money into his own pocket, seems to me Trump is FUNDING HIS OWN CAMPAIGN and WILL TAKE NO SALARY if he wins the Presidency. Show me where that is costing the taxpayer one thin dime!
